Never Expected

Chapter 9

Jack J POV
Lilly just ran out of the room. I heard her slam the door. What happened? She looked like she was about to burst into tears. All I know is whoever she was on the phone with made her upset. She screamed  at the person on the phone and had an facial expression that she was done. I don't know if u should go upstairs or not. Should I let her cool down? I had no clue what to do. I wanted her to know I was here for her. So I decided to head upstairs.  I heard sobbing outside the door. I really wanted to hug her so I went to open the door but it was locked.
"Lilly?" I asked  lightly taping on the door. I didn't hear anything but her crying. This was killing me. I couldn't stand to hear her cry. I feel like I needed to hug her and protect her. Why did I feel that. I have no clue.
"Lilly please open up?" I said sounding so whinny but I didn't care. I heard movement and the door was opened. It revealed Lilly but it didn't look like her. Tears were running down her face and she looked so broken. My first reaction was to hug her and that's what I didn't. She didn't hugged back at first I think she got caught off guard. Then she hugged back. It felt amazing. I released her after a couple minutes and wiped the tears from her eyes. She looked down at the floor. She walked back to sit down on the bed. She didn't gestured me to follow but didn't close the door so I followed and decided to ask
" What happened?" There was a long couple minutes of silence. I didn't want to push her.
" you don't have to tell me but I'm always here for you and care about you and I can beat up whoever did this to you." I said joking on the last sentence. That made her smile a little bit. Making me smile more. Then she spoke and began to tell me everything.
  Wow. I couldn't believe that her so called best friend would ditch her. And plus Lilly said this isn't the first time she has done it. She said she always gets her hopes up then ends up ditching her. I couldn't believe this. She stopped crying and looked at me. What I said next I was not even thinking
"I can go to the dance with you. " why did I just said that. I wasn't even thinking that. She looked at me confused. Did I say that because I felt bad or was there another reason. No there couldn't be another reason I was just doing this because i felt bad. She was really looking forward  to it.
"Sure." She said as more of a question. I smiled. She then went to tell me that they were going to go dress shopping. And she worried about not having anything special to wear. She said she will try and call up one of her other friends to go with her dress shopping. She seemed really nervous about finding the right dress. I didn't get it she looked pretty in anything. Wait why was I thinking that. I mean it's true but why is happening to me. Oh well I shook it off and continued to talk to her till she was ready to go downstairs. She said she will be right downstairs Ashe has to make a phone call to try and arrange someway to go shopping for a dress. I said okay and walked downstairs. What was going on with me. I was feeling a certain way around her and I had no clue what it was.  What am I going to do?
