Magnus:

Hunger, The one thing you can't escape, it haunts you, constantly. Like a humming in your brain that gets louder and louder until you are starving, craving food, in any shape or form. We had gone 3 days without it and now every second was increasingly painful, the pain being a deep one coming from the empty pit commonly known as a stomach.

We had left the dark claustrophobic corridor and were back outside in vast flat green land. Empty. Completely empty. We were just walking. Walking away or to something, we couldn't decide. Just walking to add meaning to our lives. I was talking to a girl named Anna, she was nice, we were talking about our lives before the war, she had been the of a farmer. She had lived on a farm all her life with just her father and now she missed him more than ever.

We were walking when Sage started coughing, spluttering, I ran over to her shouting her name. "SAGE! SAGE!" It was getting worse "Your going to be ok. Listen to me." I wasn't sure. Instantly my mind was going over all the worst senarios, "Please Sage, Please". Then it stopped, "Magnus... I'm not hungry!"
