A/N: I don't own the picture, but oml he is gorgeous in this one.
"Y-you..." I stutter, glancing up at the man in the center of the training room. I had thought it to be Moody, the one who requested that I'd be here in the first place, but I was horribly wrong. I chug the rest of my coffee cup before setting it on the floor. I turn to Kisame who is staring at me carefully, so I smile brightly at him.
"Would you mind leaving us for a little while, please?"
"Are you sure you're going to be okay, Pipsqueak?" He whispers, his eyes cutting toward the man.
"You can check on us in ten minutes if you're that concerned." I joke.
He nods and backs out of the room, leaving us alone. I turn to the man again and fold my arms over my chest.
"Shouldn't you be off cramming your nose up your boss's ass?" I snap.
"I'm only here because I was told to be, un."
"Well I'm telling you to leave. If Moody doesn't show up soon, I'm going back to my room."
"He's not showing up, un. I'm under orders to spar with you."
I hold back a chuckle and scowl. Of course Moody would set me up to fight the man that I hate with a vengeance. I'm sure it was what he thought to be the easiest way to get me to fight. How he expects to see the results if he isn't here, I'm not sure. I sigh and roll my shoulders before getting into a defensive stance. I may as well beat his ass now and get it over with so I can hide in my room again. Maybe I'll even get carried away and will murder him and I won't have to deal with him anymore. He rolls his eyes at me before putting his hand into the pouch he holds his clay in.
"Hey Jerk, I have a thought: If he isn't here, why don't you sit over there and I'll sit over here and take a nap, then we leave and I say that I kicked your ass?"
"The base has eyes, Baka."
I groan in annoyance and rush at him, drawing a sword as I go. His hand comes out of the pouch and a second later, a small bird shaped bomb is flying toward me. I use my free hand to pull a shuriken and intercept the clay creature before swinging my sword at him. He jumps backward out of the way and blocks it with a kunai. I use one hand to push against the small knife with my sword while drawing my other. I bring the other one up quickly and sling it toward him. He ducks the blade and tries to sweep my feet so I flip backward across the room. A flicker of a memory hits me and I shake my head to clear it.
"This reminds me of the day we met..." I mutter under my breath as I rush at him again.
"You weren't supposed to be in the field,un." I hear him whisper as he dodges me, throwing his clay bird as it expands.
I cut back toward him, sheathing my swords and aiming my fist at him. Anything to keep him from going airborne.
"You weren't supposed to be in the village."
"You did well for a genin. You tried to defend your village on your own, un." He catches another punch and flips me over his shoulder.
I curl my body to absorb the blow and spring myself onto his back.
"You failed rather horribly at being an Akatsuki criminal. You should've killed me without hesitation. Somehow we started talking instead of fighting..." I mutter, choking him as he tries to throw me off of him.
He reaches behind himself and his hands reach my sides and I fall off of him instantly. Of course he remembered.
"That's not even cool..." I growl, launching myself at him again.
"You were the one that told me, un."
He catches my wrists, holding them up above my head. I try to kick him but he moves out of the way.
"You know something?" I begin, struggling against him. "I shouldn't have fallen in love with you. I should have turned you in to the ANBU when I saw you, but it was four in the morning and we were laughing so hard, and I knew I was screwed. I took a chance on the only person in this entire world that treated me like a person instead of a disease. The only thing in my life that made me feel like it was less of a hell-hole. I had a reason to live. Then, I get taken away from the only home I've ever known and find out that everything has been a lie and that you were just under orders from your boss..."
Deidara drops me and I punch him in the face once more before heading over toward the door, grabbing the coffee cup, and storming past Kisame out into the base.
