Halloween

It's been two weeks since our return to the base and I've fallen into a training routine: Itachi trains me Mondays with Ninjutsu and strength, Kisame on Tuesdays with swords, Wednesday with Itachi for speed and accuracy, Thursdays with Konan for medical training, Fridays with Hidan for more weapon training, Saturdays with Deidara for explosives, and Sundays I was tested on what I'd learned. My main complaints in the scheduling are attempting to be civil with Deidara and resisting the urge to strangle Itachi until he tells me whether or not he truly knows who my father is. I've gotten along rather well with Hidan and we spend our time talking about scythes, murder, and blood while we train. He doesn't judge and is very blunt about his thoughts. I enjoy it. Konan has become like what I imagine a sister would be. Being around her makes me feel almost happy like when I was with Deidara but not in a romantic way. I feel sort of safe with her, like I could tell her anything, but of course I don't. I'm not that stupid.
Today I'm training with Hidan and he still won't let me hold a scythe or touch his. I want one so badly. I've tried to fight him at one point just to incapacitate him just so I can take the scythe. He pinned me to the wall with various knives and threatened to sacrifice me if I tried again. Safe to say, it's not good to piss off an immortal. I'm going to get the scythe someday or I'll die trying. I reach the doors and kick them open to announce my arrival. He smirks at me, leaning against that beautiful, beautiful scythe. He straightens when he notices my focus and picks up the weapon and swings it over his shoulder.
"Hey Short Stack, I'll make you a deal. Attack me with intent to kill, weapons only, and if you can incapacitate me or I forfeit, I'll let you touch the scythe."
I stare at him carefully, not trusting his words. "Swear?"
"Fine, if you doubt me, I'll just take it back, shit." He taunts, crossing his arms.
I carefully place my cup on the floor and draw a sword. Working with Hidan and Kisame on my swords has made me a lot better and more accurate. I still don't know if I can take down an immortal if only temporary.
I rush toward him acting more confident than I felt. I get a foot away, ready to strike, when he suddenly brings the scythe out and swings it toward me. I flip backward out of the way and scowl before rushing at him again, only pulling a handful of kunai and tossing those at him as I swing my sword from the other. He deflects the knives easily and dodges the sword, but I've got other plans. Before jumping back out of range, I reach out my free hand and attempt to touch the scythe. My fingers barely brush against it before he kicks me backward. My feet skid across the floor but I get myself stopped within a second.
"I thought you said weapons only?"
"I thought I said attack to kill."
I flip him off and draw my other sword as I attack him again. With as little effort as possible, almost as if he were simply batting away a fly, he sends me flying across the room, over and over and over again. I'm starting to get a little mad. Just a little though, of course.
"Why does anyone think it's logical to have a teenager fight against fully grown s-rank criminals!?" I shout, pulling my hair back out of my face.
"You shouldn't have been captured." He answers simply.
My head darts up at his statement and I glare deeply.
"It's rather hard not to get captured when you're unconscious."
"Shouldn't have been unconscious."
I know he's just trying to rile me up a bit, but my abduction is still a touchy subject. If there were a way to kill an immortal, I'd find it.
Our fight goes on for an hour or better with no true progress on my side. Hidan hasn't even moved from his spot or broken a sweat. I'm currently laying on the floor in the training room, sweaty and bleeding from various scrapes, mainly on my feet. Why did I decide to go barefoot? Hidan stops beside me and crouches down with a triumphant smirk. I turn my head to face him and he grins. I scowl in response.
"I think I'm slacking, Hidan." I groan.
"I was a little fucking hard on you."
"No. You don't need to hold back. If you do, I'll never be strong enough to kill everyone and get out of here."
"I doubt you'd ever be able to kill every one of the fuckers here. You can't kill me, but that's beside the point. There are a lot of people here with a lot of fucking skill."
I wince and turn back to him. "Thank you for the vote of confidence."
He sighs and apologizes in perfect Hidan fashion. A string of curses with the word sorry hidden in the depths.
"So, I have an idea." I begin after a moment of silence. "Once I get a scythe and get good with it, I can go around executing people."
"What are you talking about?" He asks, cocking a brow.
"I can get a black robe with a hood and walk around with the scythe. Throughout the year I'll use ANBU type skills to spy on everyone, then one day a year I'll go around killing the bad people. The good people will get a treat, like a candy or something. I can make it a holiday!"
Hidan laughs, I assume trying to picture this. I can picture it already and I admit it is rather laughable.
"It's perfect though. People get candy or heads will roll. It's the perfect holiday!" I continue cheerfully. "It needs a name though. It would be a hallow occasion, but 'weee' some people get candy. Hallowee sounds weird, so it won't work. It'd never catch on. What about Halloweet? Halloweer? Halloweeb? Halloween? Halloween! I like it!"
"So you're making a holiday called Halloween where you get to decide whether someone gets candy or gets decapitated?" He asks, rubbing his forehead.
"Yeah. It sounds fun. You could even help if you want. I'm sure Jashin would love more sacrifices in his name." I offer, sitting up finally.
"You could always convert."
"Nah, religion's not my thing. I'd rather live my life terrorizing the general public. Being tied to a religion hinders that, in my opinion. Also, I have something to tell you."
I stand up and stretch before latching onto the scythe propped up against the wall and cheering.
"I got it! I win!"
He gets to his feet immediately and tells me to drop it, but I quickly duck out of the room and into the base.
"It's mine forever! Mine! All MINE!" I shout, laughing maniacally as I try to escape Hidan's grasp.
He's shouting curses at me as we run and I'm clearing a bit of distance despite the weight of this scythe. If I can make it to my bathroom, I should be safe. It's my only door that locks. I look behind me to see where he is and crash into something hard. I smack the floor painfully and glare up at the offending object. That object happens to be Kakuzu. Oops.
"Sorry Kakuzu!"
"Is that Hidan's scythe?" He asks, ignoring my apology.
I nod just as it's ripped from my grasp. Hidan glares down at me and I skitter away from him, jumping over the coffee table and hiding behind Kisame.
"You need to keep a better handle on your weapons. Children like her shouldn't have something like that." Kakuzu scolds Hidan and I can't help but to laugh at him.
While staring down the face of death, I've decided something. I definitely want a scythe.

A/N: Sorry this chapter is kinda sucky in my opinion but I wanted something a little fun. The Halloween thing came to me in a dream and I liked it.
