Stupid Question

A/N: Sorry that things are moving pretty slow, but I promise to pick things up soon. Things are crazy here at home so my mind has been elsewhere. Also, I don't own the picture

I stop in front of Moody's door and turn the knob, choosing not to knock or wait for permission. If he doesn't want me entering, then he should lock the door. His eyes dart up from the desk and glares when he realizes it's me. I shoot a glare back at him, silently challenging him to say something about it.
"Knock and wait for permission, kid." He growls.
"Learn to lock the door if you don't want me to come in." I retort, leaning against the wall. "So, what do you want, Moody?"
I tilt my head to the side to dodge the kunai whizzing past my face.
"You will address me respectfully."
"You never gave your name, so that would be a little hard to do, don't you think?"
"Call me Leader, just like everyone else." He bites out and I smirk, hearing the restraint in his tone.
"I'd rather not. It sounds kind of cult-ish, don't you think? Anyway, what did you want? I have some training to do."
He glares at me again and sighs. I really do wonder how far I can push him before he kills me. I've got to make him regret taking me.
"You weren't focused during your training and seemed to be holding back. Tomorrow, report to the training room at the same time."
"If you're just going to pit me against Deidara again in an attempt to use him against me, I refuse."
I smile sweetly at him before leaving the room, making sure to slam the door behind me.
I bump into someone as soon as I shut the door and fall back against the wood. I look up to find a pair of red eyes staring back down at me. It's Sasuke's brother. I straighten and wait for him to say something but he stares at me with the same cool indifference that his brother does. I wait a moment longer for him to say something but he doesn't so I just walk away. I cross back through the main room and head into the training area. The room is empty, I even looked up at the small walkway running across the top of the room to make sure. My eyes drift to the training dummies pushed against the wall and I decide to pull a few of them out onto the floor.                     Once I've settled them throughout the space, I make my way to the one in the center and draw my swords. I strike at the dummy repeatedly, my mind turning the dummies into enemies, picturing their movements and attacks to make it easier to train. I stab the dummy in the 'heart' and flip backward toward the next one. I attack the next one, at one point tossing a sword away and continuing one handed. I 'kill' that one and head to the next one, leaving my last sword behind. This one is for hand to hand combat so I aim a punch at the wooden arms sticking out of the top before settling into a routine.
"What do you want Kisame?" I mutter, roundhouse kicking the dummy.
I had noticed the swordsman come into the room a few minutes ago, but I was too focused to pay him much attention. He didn't leave or say anything so I got annoyed with him staring and decided to ask. I hear him cross the room and come to a stop beside me. I continue to swing on the dummy while waiting for him to reply.
"I just came to check on you."
"I'm fine." I mutter, aiming another punch at the dummy.
"It sure seems like it."
"How much did you hear this morning?"
I stop hitting the target and turn to him to evaluate his expression. He looks slightly sheepish but covers it up with a blank expression. I sigh and run a hand through my hair. Of course he heard it all. I turn back to the target and start hitting it harder.
"Well, now you know my story. Don't ever talk about it. I was stupid and I'm already paying for it."
"It's nothing to be ashamed over."
"I'm not ashamed. I own up to my mistakes. I'm just pissed that they happened."
I kick the target again and the head splinters off.
"Do you miss him?" He asks suddenly.
I stop mid-kick and stare at him in disbelief. I give him a chance to correct what he'd said but he stares at me in turn, waiting for an answer.
"No. Definitely not. I'd rather rip his head off his shoulders or toss him off a fifty foot cliff. I hate that man with every fiber of my being." I growl. "That was a stupid question. It was all a lie anyway..."
