Lefu opened her eyes to Bruce wiping sweat off her face. Lefu frowned and sat up, rubbing a tired hand down her face.

"Where am I?" Lefu asked. Bruce sighed.

"You're in my room. You've been out for a few days now," Bruce told her. Lefu's head pounded and her mouth was dry.

"Could I get something to drink? I'm really thirsty," Lefu asked. Bruce got up and returned with a glass full of water. Lefu took it gratefully and gulped it down, not stopping to breath. She sighed happily and handed back the glass. She still felt weak. She rubbed at her eyes and noticed her contacts where gone.

"Where are my contacts?" Lefu asked, watching Bruce put the glass away. He rolled his eyes and sat down next to her. He pulled out a small case from his pocket.

"Right here. Care to tell me what was going on?" Bruce asked, pulling the case just out of reach when she reached for it. Lefu scowled and snatched it away. She slipped her contacts on and tied her hair into a harsh bun.

"Uriel just tried to off me. I think he was killing the other angels who left the order. I just happened to be the last one in town," Lefu said sarcastically to hide the grief that plagued her. Bruce sighed and brought her into a hug.

"I'm sorry for what happened to your family," he said quietly. Lefu choked on a sob, shaking in his arms. Bruce patted her head and sat back when she pulled back.

"I'm fine. They died a warrior's death: fighting," Lefu said firmly. She rubbed circles on her temples to stem the headaches.

"I notice your wounds haven't healed. Is it because of the sulfur?" he asked, handing her Tylenol and another glass of water. She took them gratefully and gulped those down.

"These will heal normally and scar. Like I said, sulfur weakens an angel. It wouldn't be enough to kill us though," she said quietly. Lefu gazed into Bruce's dark blue eyes. "I killed one of our own," she admitted. Bruce nodded.

"Yes, and you saved Superman. Uriel would have killed you if you haven't struck first," Bruce said soothingly. Lefu sighed.

"I want to go home," Lefu said brokenly. Bruce patted her head and picked her up. He carried her downstairs to his car and drove her in silence to her apartment. Bruce didn't say anything but carried her all the way inside her apartment. He turned on all the lights and sat down next to her on her new bed.

"I see you went shopping," he commented dryly. Lefu frowned.

"It's not mine. The others didn't like my home," she commented quietly. Bruce patted her head.

"Do you feel better now?" Bruce asked. Lefu shrugged.

"I'd like to be alone right now, please." Bruce stared at her, trying tosee what she was thinking. He got up and closed the door behind him. Lefu broke down and cried, covering her mouth to stifle the noise. Bruce knocked on Clark's door next door. Clark came to the door wearing pajamas looking surprised.

"What's up? How's Lefu?" Clark asked. Bruce frowned and ran a hand through his hair in frustration.

"Can you stay with her right now? She asked to be alone but I don't think that's what she needs," Bruce admitted and left. Clark closed his door and padded towards Lefu's. He knocked on the door quietly. There was a shuffling before a ragged looking Lefu showed up answering the door in yoga pants and spaghetti strapped shirt. Her face was a mess. Lefu's eyes were red and clearly crying. She plastered on a smile.

"Hi, Clark. What's going on?" she asked hoarsely. Clark sighed and came inside, closing the door behind himself. He grabbed Lefu into a tight hug, petting her hair.
