She marched straight up to Bruce and smiled at him.

"You have some explaining to do buddy," she said sarcastically. Her yellow and silver blue-eyed gaze was the only thing that betrayed her fury. Bruce took a step back and held his hands up in defense.

"He told you?" Bruce asked. Clark appeared adjusted his glasses and shook his head.

"She figured it out on her own," Clark said darkly, glaring at Bruce. Bruce sighed.

"Let me guess, you found out on your own as well?" Bruce asked Clark sarcastically. Clark and Lefu glanced at each other and glared back at Bruce. Lefu dragged Bruce out of the ballroom and towards another room that was dark. Lefu reached out to turn on the lights but Clark stopped her with a hand.

"It's best that no one knows we're here," Clark told her. Lefu took a deep breath and released it slowly, walking towards the window so that she was standing in the light of the moon.

"Can someone tell me what just happened? You two left me alone to clean yourselves up an hour or so ago and I thought you went home to change," Bruce asked seriously. Clark took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes.

"What does everyone know first? I feel like we're all missing something here," Clark asked tiredly. Lefu scowled and snapped her fingers so that she was wearing a backless turtleneck and armored leather pants with heeled combat boots.

"Bruce caught me in the middle of surgery to fix my implants. Humans can't hear me otherwise," Lefu stated, her wings appearing and stretching before folding them in and clenching them tightly to her back. Clark sighed.

"Ok, that explains some things," Clark commented, crossing his arms. Bruce shrugged.

"I found it hard not to follow her. She was being so secretive and I couldn't resist," Bruce explained defensively. Lefu scowled.

"If I'd known this the whole time when I found out about you Bruce, I would have left Metropolis before things got this far," Lefu mumbled. Clark glared at her.

"Likewise," he bit out. Lefu tried not to let the hurt show on her face but it flashed through her eyes. Bruce watched them silently.

"You two became involved since last I saw you two," Bruce said dryly. Clark and Lefu glared at him.

"Understatement of the year," Lefu worded slowly, acid dripping from her words. Clark looked away from them to avoid their gazes.

"The secret is out there now. Can we move on? I have some questions while you two are confessing," Bruce said. Lefu rolled her eyes, her wings ruffling a little. Her wings started to shed and a few feathers floated towards the floor with her movements.

"Ask. I might answer if they are good questions," Lefu stated, resting a hand on a cocked hip. Clark followed her movement involuntarily.

"The latest angel killing. Tell me what happened. The guy was in Gotham at first asking around about you," Bruce stated. Lefu's composure broke and she turned her back to them.

"Jeremiel was my partner. He received a vision then came to make me leave with him before it came true," Lefu bit out. She crossed her arms and her wings shivered with the memory of pushing the stake into Jeremiel's heart. More feathers fluttered to the ground. She noticed and crouched down to pick one up, staring at it.

"Do you know what he saw? Is it something big?" Bruce asked. Clark lifted a brow in question, watching her inspect her feathers.

"My time here is coming to an end. Jeremiel's vision is coming true," Lefu said dully and blew the feather out of her hand. It floated towards Clark who grabbed it from the air. When he opened his hand the feather was nothing but ash.
