Lefu spent all night comforting souls as they passed over. Her inhaling sulfur didn't do her any favors. She landed on her patio worn out and about to fall over. She collapsed onto the patio, letting the cool of the concrete soothe her.

"I've been waiting for you. We need to talk," Superman said, landing next to her. Lefu sighed and waved her hand in the air dismissively.

"I'm tired. Can we talk later?" Lefu said breathily. Superman scowled and picked her up, carrying her inside.

"No, it can't wait. What's wrong with you?" Superman said roughly. Lefu weakly smacked at his chest.

"Breathed in a lot of sulfur and had to take care of lots of people. Little tired," she said. His gaze softened but then went back to a neutral expression. He sat on the couch and positioned Lefu so that she used his lap as a pillow.

"You should have told me at the party," Superman said, checking her body for injuries. That's when he noticed the bruises from their lovemaking earlier. His body heated in response of the memory but he pushed the feeling away.

"What's the point? We were both kind of pissed. I didn't expect you to care," she replied and sighed, closing her eyes. Superman sighed.

"I didn't mean what I said," he admitted. Lefu opened her eyes and looked confused.

"What about? I don't see why you would apologize to me of all people," she asked in confusion. Superman pulled Lefu into his arms and turned her face towards him, making her look into his eyes.

"I don't want you to disappear. I'm sorry about overreacting at the party and acting childish. I should have told you who I was before I let things get that far," he told her slowly, letting the meaning of his words sink in. He searched her eyes, waiting for her to respond. She sat up and her brows scrunched in confusion.

"Right, me too. I should have taken a deep breath and used my head a little more. I just freaked out that it was you and then we did that..." She mumbled. Superman smiled and pulled her in for a searching kiss. He pulled back, smirking down at her.

"I still don't want you to leave me to go to Gotham. I don't want you to leave me at all," Superman admitted. She smiled and kissed him on the nose.

"I couldn't leave now. I warn you, you will get sick of me eventually. And when you do, I'll kick your ass with my yo-yos," she teased. He laughed and pulled her into another deep kiss. She moaned into his mouth and started to pant with need. He happily answered her need with his own.

Lefu awoke to a bright light and being snatched out of bed. She struggled weakly as Clark sat up in bed.

"You," Clark said with a glare. Lefu stopped struggling to glare at her attacker. Wonder Woman held her in a painful grip.

"I'm sorry but this has to be done. She's coming with me," Wonder Woman told Clark firmly. Clark changed into his Superman with his super speed and glared at her.

"No, there's no reason for it. Let her go," Superman demanded. Lefu sighed. Batman came out from the patio.

"She needs to go Clark. I'll tell you later. Just trust me," Batman told Superman. Lefu looked to Superman.

"So, that's it? You'll just let her take me away from you?" Lefu demanded. Wonder Woman's grip tightened around Lefu, making her head snap back into a painful angle. Superman looked away from Lefu, avoiding her gaze. Lefu growled and flipped Wonder Woman over her and stomped onto her chest hard.

"I'll remember this," Lefu growled out to Superman. She snatched up Wonder Woman and wrapped the sheet around herself as a makeshift toga. Batman stepped aside as Lefu's wings appeared and turned black. She launched herself into the air with the flap of her wings, throwing Wonder Woman into the air so that she can fly on her own. Lefu glared at her.

"You should remember your place Diana. Your gods would not be pleased at the way you've treated me," Lefu threatened Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman sighed in defeat, glaring back at Lefu.

"I'll remember it next time," Wonder Woman snapped back. They flew all the way towards Paradise Island and landed in the middle of a square. Lefu crossed her arms and spread out her wings behind her to intimidate the crowd that gathered. Lefu glared down at all the Amazonians. Wonder Woman glared down at Lefu.

"You need to stay here until further notice. I can't have you leaving at all," Wonder Woman told Lefu. Lefu scoffed.

"You dare address me here without my formal title and respect?" Lefu tilted her head in challenge. Wonder Woman gritted her teeth and bowed, fisting her hand over her heart.

"Lord Hades, we welcome you upon Paradise Island. It's imperative that you stay on this island for your own protection," Wonder Woman hissed out.  Lefu smirked and strode past her, making her way towards Lyla, the Harbinger.

"Lyla, lead me to my accommodations. It'd also be nice if you give me a small tour. It's been awhile since my last visit," Lefu said with a kind smile at Lyla. Lyla glanced at Wonder Woman but smiled and led Lefu to a room.

"Here is where you should be staying for now, Lord Hades. Do you need help to change?" Lyla offered with a smile. Lefu laughed and patted her on the head.

"No, Lyla, thank you. I'll be right out so please wait for me," Lefu said with a chuckle. Lefu strode in her room and took off the sheet, reaching in the drawers for a white tunic dress. She tied a rope around her waist as a belt and tied the straps of her slippers all the way up her calf. She slid on bracers and black armor. She then strapped on a sword to her side and strode back out to Lyla with a smile.

"How do I look my Harbinger?" Lefu teased. Lyla laughed.

"Like a warrior Lord Hades. It's been so long since I've seen you in full battle regalia. I've missed you," Lyla said and hugged Lefu. Lefu smiled and patted Lyla's back.

"Me too. I should tell you what happened just before I got here. Although, I think I'll burn that bridge now," Lefu said sadly. They flew around the island as the other residents watched in awe to see one of their gods amongst them. Lefu smiled and talked with the people if they approached her but she mostly talked with Lyla.

Lefu confided in Lyla all her problems from killing her family and first love, about Batman/Bruce Wayne, and also the most recent happenings of Superman being Clark Kent. She finally spoke of Clark apologizing to her and making up asking for her not to leave only to betray her the next morning with a heavy heart. Lefu sighed sadly and looked out over the setting sun on top of the mountain they flew to.

"I must confess. I think I'm in love with him," Lefu admitted to Lyla quietly. Lyla sighed and patted her hands.

"It's not shameful to fall in love with that man. You have already killed two of your kind to save him. You are already more invested than you give yourself credit for," Lyla told her gently. Lefu sighed, stroking her wings to comfort herself.

"There is something else. Something only Jeremiel and myself knew. Jeremiel had a vision about Superman and myself. It's what drove him to try and save me by killing me," Lefu said sadly and looked into Lyla's eyes. Lyla smiled in comfort.

"It's ok to tell me anything. Your secrets have always been safe with me," Lyla said gently. Lefu turned back to face the sunset, letting her wings fall to lay on the ground behind her.

"I will prevent his death by sacrificing my own life force. I will die for him," Lefu said solemnly. Lyla gasped and threw herself at Lefu, hugging her.

"I'm sorry my Lord Hades. I know how painful it must be to know how you will pass," Lyla comforted. Lefu smiled sadly and hugged her back. They held each other for so long, until both of them felt ready to face the coming days with their secrets.
