Lefu showed up to work looking pissed. The editor was gushing about her article and wanted to hear about her almost being smashed like a bug by a car. Clark laughed at her as she sat down.
"What?" She said scathingly. Clark held his hands up in defense.
"Nothing, I didn't say anything. I'm just here," he said with a chuckle. Lefu scowled at him.
"Your hero is just a perv, just so you know. Every woman should be walking around in a lead suit," she huffed. Clark laughed.
"I doubt he's going around looking through everyone's clothing..." he said to defend himself. Lefu pinned him with a glare, not wanting to hear it.
----------
Lefu was flying high above the cloud line minding her own business when Superman joined her in the sky. She growled in dismay and snapped her fingers so that her suit was lead lined. Just in case, she thought huffily.
"Hey, I didn't think I'd see you out here tonight," he commented to her with a smile. Lefu smirked and flew higher to avoid him. He followed with a chuckle. Irritated, she flapped her wings and flew higher and higher until she was above the atmosphere. Superman followed closely behind. Irritated, she tucked in her wings and dropped. Superman stopped surprised and flew down towards her. He stopped in the air above her, expecting her to break her speed.
"Stop! You'll get hurt!" He called out to her. Lefu let herself fall to just above the ground and spread her wings to glide out over the ground, dispersing the fire. She flitted out of sight and back into the city, landing inside an alley. She watched a group of guys shooting at each other. One group was shot and left to die. Lefu sighed and snapped her fingers to change into normal street clothes, striding out towards the men on the ground. She walked right up towards the one with a large scar running down his face and crouched down by his head. He gasped out.
"Help me..." Scar face said weakly. Lefu touched his forehead.
"Shhh... You shouldn't be afraid," she whispered down to him. Her hair fell forward and she swept it to one side to get it out of her way. The man looked up into her yellow and silver blue eyes, trembling on the ground. Lefu smiled down at him and kissed his forehead. A flash of light blinded them as his memories flowed through her. He gasped out his last breath. Lefu's eyes narrowed and looked up at Superman.
"I don't like it when people watch me. Get the rest to a hospital and they'll be fine," she said and stood up. Superman sighed and flashed out of sight and the men disappeared. She only took a step away from the body when Superman showed up again.
"Wait, I want to talk to you," Superman said, stopping her by grabbing her arm. Lefu sighed and maneuvered out of his grasp and flipped over and behind him. She grabbed his arms and pulled them behind his back and pulled them up painfully.
"You could just ask instead of grabbing my arm," she hissed out. Superman pulled the same maneuver on her but with pure speed. Her arms where grabbed from behind and pulled up till the position was uncomfortable but not painful.
"I just want to talk," he said. Lefu looked up at him and frowned.
"Then let's talk," she stated. Superman shook his head.
"Not here. Can you meet me on top of the Daily Planet? The one with the giant globe," he asked. Lefu nodded and he flew away. Lefu took one last look down at the scarred man and launched into the air. She snapped her fingers and changed into a white toga silk dress. She landed on top of the building, Superman stood near the edge watching her approach and land behind him. Superman turned and gave her a small smile.
