Chapter 24

A few days after the change I had decided to go visit Jacob. I knew that he was helping out Seth and Courtney so I had asked him if I could just meet with him instead.
As I pulled up to his house I spotted him and Seth sitting on his newly built porch. I sighed and got out of my car. As the both saw me Jacobs smile turned into a frown.
   "When did this happen?" He questioned me in demanding tone. I sighed.
   "A few days ago". I answered him. He sighed and ran his hands through his hair.
   "Why did no one tell me?"
   "The last time I heard from you didn't go very well so Jasper thought it be better if I distanced myself from you". I said crossing my arms over my chest.
   "Of course that blood sucker did!" He growled.
   "Thanks Jacob. Some friend you are. And Jasper was right you need a bath-"
Jacob grabbed my arm and Seth grabbed his.
   "Easy Jake. She's still Avery. She's just..a bit different". Seth replied. Jacob rolled his eyes and let go of me. Then he stormed inside. I sighed.
    "I'm sorry for what he called you". Seth apologized for Jacob. I smiled at him.
   "It's okay. I had a feeling that he wouldn't accept it at first". I said. Seth smiled and nudged my shoulder.
   "So how does it feel?"
   "It's strange to be honest. I'm the strongest in the house now so I have to try not to hurt anyone". Seth laughed and I felt like nothing had changed between us. Which made me happy. He was my best friend and I didn't want him to stay away from me just because I was a vampire now.
   "How's the thirst feeling?"
   "Almost as in control as Bella. I was glad that we're no humans around when I had my first hunt. And I've been doing good so far. Still have the red eyes so I'm still fighting the urge of wanting human blood. Which is why-"
   "You didn't want to see Courtney yet.."
I nodded.
   "I couldn't forgive myself if I hurt her. And I couldn't forgive myself if I hurt you or Charlie. Carlisle told me it would be a few weeks before I could see any of them". I replied. Seth just nodded his head.
   "Would it be okay...if I told Courtney about all this?" Seth asked gesturing to all of me. I let out a chuckle and nodded my head.
   "Yeah, but go easy on her. She's still getting used to all this vampires and werewolves exist stuff". I stated. Seth sighed.
    "Yeah good point. Don't want to freak her out too much". Seth said just as Jacob came back out. Seth stood up. "I'll see what Billy's up to". He said going inside. Jacob sat down beside me.
    "Sorry about earlier". He said. I sighed.
    "I kinda expected it to go down this way". I stated. He sighed.
    "I'm still kind of getting used to the idea that both girls that I ever loved are now undead creatures". He replied. I sighed and looked down at my hands.
   "I'm sorry Avery..."
   "It's okay Jacob. I know you despise us". Jacob stood up.
    "I don't despite you! I despise vampires"
    "But Jacob that's what I am. I'm a vampire and this is what I wanted. And I want you to accept that!" I shouted at him. He sighed.
   "I'm sorry. It was so much easier with Bella and I can't figure out why?"
   "Neither do I, but I do hope that you can learn to accept what is". I whispered to him.
   "I try....is there something else I should know?" He asked me. I hesitated.
   "Your not pregnant are you?" I let out a laugh and shook my head.
    "I'm dead remember Jacob". He reminded him. He laughed.
   "Good good". He said running his fingers through his hair.
    "But I do have something else that I should tell you, but I think you should meet them in person. Because it might affect the wolves". I stated. Jacob tensed up.
   "Who is it? The Volturi?" I shook my head.
   "It's not the Volturi, but I might have something to do with them again".
    "Are they coming back again?" I sighed.
    "I'm not sure". I answered. "How soon can you and Sam meet with us?"
    "Tomorrow. The sooner the better". Jacob said. I nodded my head.
    "Good. Then tomorrow you meet the ancient ruler of the vampires".

I'm really glad that I decided to bring Seth and Jacob back into the story because something big will happen. I hope. Lol. Next chapter the wolves get to meet thee Dracula and I'm excited.
