Chapter 27

A few weeks later
    "Are you sure I'm ready for this?" I questioned Carlisle as Alice handed me a case of green contacts.
    "You have shown great control around both Jacob and Renesmee, Avery". He stated. I sighed as Bella laid a hand on my shoulder.
   "But there both not fully human! My dad is Carlisle". I dated firm. Jasper leaned his head down and kissed my cheek.
   "You'll be okay". He replied. I sighed.
   "Fine, but I want to try with Courtney first. She knows everything about my situation and Seth is with her in case something happens". I finally agreed. Carlisle nodded his head.

    "You can do this". Bella said as me, Jasper and her approached Seth's house. As I got out of the car I could instantly smell the scent of human blood. My throat started to burn, but it was bearable. I sighed and spotted Seth with Courtney behind him. She smiled at me and stepped next to Seth.
    "How's the thirst?" She asked me.
    "It's bearable". I said as he stepped towards us. She pulled me into a hug and the pain grew, but only a little. She smiled as she pulled away.
    "You still seem so you". She stated.
     "Well expect for the clothes. Bella said that most vampires tend be a bit more fashionable and I guess she was right". We both let out a laugh as Seth stepped closer to us.
    "Anyway enough about me. How are you two doing relationship wise?" I questioned them both. Courtney began to blush as Seth put an arm around her waist.
   "Were good. Your cousin is truly an amazing girl". Seth stated. I smiled at her.
    "She sure is". I agreed with him.
    "Seth!" A voice shouted from the forest. All of us turned out attention to see both Sam and Paul running out of the woods and towards us. Seth pulled away from Courtney as Jasper moved closer to me.
    "What is it Sam?"
     "A vampire was just spotted in our area". Jasper turned his attention to Sam.
    "One of ours?" He asked him. Sam shook his head.
    "It was one of the Volturi". He stated. I gasped and glanced up at Jasper. Bella moved closer to us and she was in shock as well.
   "Why would they come here?" Courtney asked anyone of us. Seth sighed.
    "There-"
     "There after me". I cut off Seth. Courtney gasped.
     "Why?"
     "They want my ability to be apart of their coven.."
     "I will never let that happen!" Jasper stated firm. Seth nodded in agreement with Jasper.
   "Neither will I!" Seth stated as Courtney grabbed onto his arm. "The pack will protect her as well". Sam nodded his head.
    "I'll have Edward and Emmett patrol the nearby areas". Jasper replied.
    "Seth and Jacob will assist you". Sam stated.
   "We should go discuss this with Carlisle". Bella suggested. All of us nodded and got back into the car. Then headed back home.

  "Do they know who it was?" Edward questioned us. Jasper shook his head.
   "Sam didn't say. He only knew that there was one in the area". I answered my brother in law. Edward sighed.
  "Dammit". He growled. I rolled my eyes.
  "Easy Edward will find out who it is". Esme reassured him by putting a hand on his shoulder.
  "Esme's right Edward, will find out who it is". Bella mirrored Esme.
   "I think it might be Felix". I stated making everyone turn their attention towards me. It made perfect sense that Felix would be the one who would be here in Forks. He and Dimtri were very close. Almost like brothers and if anyone would come after us for Dimtris death it would be Felix.
   "Felix? Are you sure?" Alice questioned my answer. I nodded my head.
   "Felix and Dimtri were like brothers and I'm pretty sure that the Volturi have already heard about Dimtri being killed". I stated.
   "Avery might be correct about this. Many of the Volturi members have been known to go out on there own missions". Carlisle explained to us.
   "That means Aro might know about him being here in Forks". Jasper replied. Carlisle nodded his head.
   "Should we send word to Aro, Carlisle?" Esme asked her mate.
   "I think it would be best to. Whether he does something about it or not is out of our hands". He replied.
   "Let's just hope he doesn't ignore the situation". Edward stated turning to me. I sighed and glanced up at Jasper.
   "Agreed". Jasper replied.

Things are starting to get more interesting..
