Chapter 22

    "For your first hunt that went very well". Jasper said to me as I leaned up against him. I smiled and glanced down at my ripped dress. I sighed. I hope Alice wouldn't be too mad at me for it, but it was kind of her fault for putting me into such a pretty dress when she knew that I was going to be going hunting in it after I woke up.
   "I was glad that no humans were around". I added as Jasper nodded his head. He placed his arms around me as we came up to the front of the Cullen house.
   "Charlie was going to stop over to see Bella and Renesmee, but Edward said that they went on a trip for a few weeks". Jasper replied. I sighed. I knew I was going to have to face it sooner or later, but I was just hoping that it would come later rather then sooner. With Bella she was able to control her thirst, but Carlisle wasn't sure if I would be able to control my thirst around humans quite yet and I was not about to test that out. Especially not on Charlie. My only option now was to tell him that I was going on a second honeymoon or that I was...dead. I shook my head at the second option. I couldn't do that to him. Charlie had been through too much as it was and it would kill me inside as well.
    "Don't worry will figure out something to tell Charlie and Renee". Jasper reassured me. I nodded and followed him into the house. All the others were standing in the living room and they all turned their heads as I walked in. Alice was the first to walk over to me. She wrapped me in her arms.
    "Welcome to the family!" She squeezed me.
     "Thanks Alice". I hugged her back as Emmett put a hand on my shoulder.
     "Your going to make one hell of a vampire". Emmett winked at me. Rosalie smiled but did not meet my eyes.
    "It's lovely to officially welcome you into the family". Esme said to me as she pulled me into a hug. I was so lucky to have Esme as a second mom to me. She was so kind and thought of me as one of her own and technically now I was. She pulled away and moved back to Carlisle.
    "Welcome to the family Avery". Carlisle nodded towards me. I nodded back as two more figures joined us. Bella smiled up at me and ran over to me and pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around her.
    "I'm glad to see that your safe". She replied.
    "Me too". I said back as we pulled apart. She glanced down at the rip marks on my dress.
    "That's just like Alice to put you in something so pretty even when it's not necessary". Bella replied eyeing Alice. Alice rolled her eyes at my sister.
    "You should always be fashionable no matter what!" She huffed. Both me and Bella let out a laugh as Edward moved closer to us.
Edward smiled at me. "You look beautiful Avery". I smiled back.
     "Thanks". I replied back as I felt a hand on my waist. Jasper leaned down and kissed my cheek.
   "I'm also relieved to see that your safe as well". Drake stated as he entered the room behind my sister and her husband. He smiled at me then at Alice. She looked away from him and I knew that something was off about her and him. I nodded my head and looked back at Carlisle.
   "What happened with Dimtri?" I questioned him.
   "After Jasper brought you to me and he injected you with his venom Emmett and Edward burned his body". He replied. I sighed and wrapped Jasper's arms around me. This was not how I wanted to be turned. But in the end nothing really works out how you planned it.
    "I'm guessing that the Volturi is going to send another guard after me now?" I questioned all them. Drake let out a chuckle.
   "What's so funny?" Alice glanced him.
   "Though the Volturi wants you on their side they won't dare go after you now that your a new born vampire". Drake replied. I sighed. He did have a point. The only reason that they wanted me in the first place was because of my gift and now that I was a vampire I could use it against them.
    "There afraid of me..". I uttered. Drake nodded his head.
    "Indeed they are. They don't want to provoke you now because they know that with your gift and the rest of your families you could overthrow them". Drake explained to us.
    "You are indeed correct Drake". Carlisle agreed.

This chapter came out pretty good. I'm excited to see what's next and I will bring Jacob, Seth and Courtney back into the story soon...
