I looked to my comrades for help, only to realize something slightly alarming:

Hanji was missing.

Where the heck could she be? Wasn't she supposed to be defending me or something?

I rolled my eyes and looked back up at Nile. He seemed to be having too much fun with this.

"So, as I was saying-"

Hanji chimed in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the godamn door?!"

"Hanji, have you been listening to my spotify playlist again?"

"Nooooooo... Anyways! I have evidence that Eren Jaegerbombastic over here is indeed on our side."

Nile shut his eyes tightly in annoyance. "Fine. Go ahead miss Zoë."

Hanji squealed in delight.

"Ahem. So, if we can trust [f/n], we can trust what she says, correct? Well, in her trial just about a week ago she claimed that Eren Jaeger would be on trial for 'not being human,' and I quote. She also mentioned that he would be on our side and help us in our battle against the titans. Therefore, we can trust Eren to be an ally and not an enemy. Thank you for your time."

Everyone stared at the mad scientist in amazement. I smirked back up at Nile again.

He looked unsure of what to say. A few moments later, he finally spoke up.

"But if he can't control his titan state, couldn't he be an enemy to humanity without realizing it."

Now was the time. C'mon Levi!

...

I looked up at where Levi stood next to Erwin. He remained motionless.

...

I nodded my head in Eren's direction, earning a look of confusion from the Corporal.

...

Time to take things into my own hands.

"Excuse me sir, but if my trial is over, can someone please uncuff me? These handcuffs are pretty painful."

Nile nodded at one of the Military Police members who were guarding us. She unlocked the restraints around my wrists and tried to guide me back to the rest of the Surveyconlegiment.

But I fought back.

Gently shoving her aside, I ran back to where Eren was still kneeling.

I kicked him.

Again.

I can tell this hurts, but he'll heal quickly.

I lost track of how many times my foot collided with his body. I think this is hurting me more than it's hurting him.

Finally, I raised my eyes to Nile. Everyone was in shock.

"I think Levi and I can take care of him. This is just my cherished opinion, but I think that pain is the most effective means of discipline. What I think he needs right now is not lecturing, but precept. And since he's on his knees, he's in just the right position to be easily kicked."

"But he still-" Nile began.

"Nile, I’m starting to wonder if your brains don’t even live up to that sorry excuse of a beard."

Everyone oohed and aahed. One cry was heard from the left side of the room.

"Oooooohhhhhh GET SHREKT."

oh my god, Hanji.

Nile was pissed. "Fine. Then I have made my decision."
