***SAFE OF MANGA SPOILERS, HERE IS A FANS INTERPRETATION OF WHAT HAPPENED TO MARCO***
I ran and flew across rooftops trying to find my freckled friend.
I finally found him in one of the back corners of the wall, attempting to fight off a titan. He swung around behind the titan, but the monster turned his head, about to bite Marco in half when I tackled him to the ground and out of the way of the titans hungry mouth.
We rolled on top of each other until finally we came to a stop against Wall Rose, cornered by the titan.
"I'll distract him, you run up and slice the nape," I whispered to Marco.
"I've never killed a titan before... Do you really think I could do it?"
"Yep, now go. We don't have time to talk about this, just don't miss."
I ran back behind the titan, making him turn around. He bent down to grab me, giving Marco a clear view of the nape. He took a running start and blasted his way up to the titans back where he jumped on the neck and sliced it.
I just looked up at Marco in amazement and happiness as he jumped down and gave me a big hug.
"Thank you for believing in me," Marco said appreciatively.
"No problemo freckled Jesus, but can I ask for something in return?"
"Sure! And did you just call me freckled Jesus?"
"Can we talk about Jean for a minute?"
