Chapter Six

That morning, after we went back upstairs from eating breakfast, I realized I forgot to text Jack.  Oh crap.  

I took out my phone, and quickly typed: We made it downstairs. 

It was seconds before he replied: Uh huh, now or 30 minutes ago?

Oh God, poor Jack.  I quickly said: Sorry Jack, wont happened again.  See ya in a few.

He responded: Alright Bud, thanks.

I sighed and walked into the elevator with Rosie, Brent, and Hayes.  The other guys seemed to have wanted to stay a little longer.  

When Brent got off on the second floor, he said, "Well see ya'll later!  Thanks for the awesome talk!"

"Bye Brent!" I replied.

Rosie was texting on her phone again, and I looked over her shoulder to see who it was.  It was Matthew.  I should have guessed.  This guy totally likes Rosie, and Rosie totally likes him.  I pointed down at her phone and mouthed Matthew to Hayes.  He laughed, and shook his head.  We reached the top level, and the three of us got off.  Rosie walked off silently to our room, and I stayed behind to talk to Hayes.

"So what room are you and Nash in?" I asked, not knowing what else to say.

"Oh, the one across from your brother's.  So I guess diagonally across from yours." He replied.

"Oh wow!  I didnt know you two were so close.  Well, not in a creepy way, but, um, never mind." I giggled as I stuttered.

Hayes started laughing too.  I looked over at him.  Wow, he had a really attractive laugh.  Oh God, what am I thinking?  I hardly know him!  But then again, he does have a big crush on me.  

Hayes walked me to my door and said, "Well, bye Eliza.  And hey, here is my number if you wanna hang out or text me." 

He handed me a piece of paper, which had obviously been filled out earlier, but I didnt care.  

"Thanks!  Sure!" I replied.

I shut the door slowly, so I could get one last look of his face.  Gosh, I was starting to sound creepy.  

Then I heard another knock on the door, thinking it was Hayes, I opened it quickly and happily.  Nope, it wasnt Hayes, it was Matthew.

"Looking for Rosie?" I asked Matthew.

He smiled and replied, "You know it Eliza!"

I turned to face Rosie and said, "Come on Rosie, some strange guy wants to see you at the door." 

"Wow, thanks.  Rosie, Eliza has no idea what she is talking about!" Matthew said, while giving me a friendly glare.  

Rosie sat up strait all of a sudden, and came skipping to the door.  

"Hey Matt!" Rosie said enthusiastically.

All of a sudden, Nash came through the connecting door.

"What's up Eliza and Rosie....and Matthew!" Nash said.

Rosie couldnt see it, but Matthew gave him the 'dude, go away' look.  Nash shook his head, as I guessed he would, and just sat on my bed.  

"Rosie, do you want to leave and go downstairs?" Matthew asked.

"Sure!"  Rosie said, and then the two of them were off.

"MAKE SURE YOU USE PROTECTION MATT!" Nash screamed.

I started laughing really hard, and Nash did too.  

"So, Ive heard my little bro has a crush on you Eliza." Nash said, talking serious this time.

"I guess so." I said, not sure how to respond to his statement.

"Well, I just want you to know, that sometimes he can be a little, um, weird around girls and he gets uncomfortable sometimes.  He hasnt ever had a girlfriend either.  And, I'll make sure he doesnt creep you out, and I'll make sure he isnt mean to you." Nash said quietly.

I giggled and replied, "Gosh Nash, well, I'm not sure what to say!"

"You dont have to say anything Eliza!  I understand!  And do you want me to tell him you like him?" Nash asked.

What?  How did Nash know I liked him?

"What?  No!  How did you know that?" I asked, freaking out just a little.

"Whoa there, calm yourself.  And I can just tell, you have that look.

"Uh huh, that look." I responded, not sounding convinced.

He shook his head and said, "Yep, that look.  Dont ask me to explain, I just know when people like each other!" 

"I FEEL YOU NASH!"  I heard Jack say from the next room.

I walked into the next room and blushed.  Taylor, Cameron, Carter, Shawn, Jack, JJ, Aaron and Brent were all in the room.  Jack came up and put his arms around me.

"It's okay Bud, we are all guys.  We know what it's like to like other people." Jack said.

Cameron gave me a thumbs up and said, "Our little Eliza is growing up, and will have a boyfriend soon!"

Wow, now everyone knew that I liked Hayes, and they all knew he liked me.  This was going to be interesting.
