Chapter Nineteen

I turned to Rosie and said, "He still isnt responding."  

It had been about 5 minutes since we bought Hayes' present and texted Jack.  Why the hell was it taking him so long to respond to my text?  

"I texted Jack too, and he hasnt replied." Rosie said, sounding annoyed.

"I'm going to text Cameron and see if he responds." I said.

Rosie shook her head in agreement.

Me: Where are you guys?

Luckily, it took Cameron about 5 seconds to respond.

Cameron: We are inside of Journey's.  Where are you?

Seriously?  Where the heck was Journey's and why couldnt they just stay with us?  God, I am so annoyed, I need to calm down.

Me: At the entrance of Dick's waiting for you two -__-

Cameron: Shit!  Coming now!

Good, they better be coming now.  I told Rosie, and she seemed very relieved.  We waited for another 3 minutes.  Great, not this again.  I heard a ding on my phone and I looked at it.

Cameron: We forgot how to get back to Dick's

Holy crap.  This sucks.

Me: Thats what the mall maps on the billboards are for

Cameron:  Oh, good idea :)

I laughed out loud because of their stupidity.  Rosie and I only waited for another 5 minutes until the boys got back.  They were panting, and holding a lot of bags.  I always knew boys had an inner shopping addiction.  

"What took you guys so fricken long?" I asked demanding.

Jack's face looked innocent and replied, "I dont know.  I guess we got carried away."  

I nodded acceptingly, and but then said, "Why werent you responding to my texts?" 

Jack replied, "I didnt get any texts."

"But I sent them." I said, concerned.

Jack patted his pocket and said, "But my phone is right-" 

He trailed off.  Oh no.  

"Shit!  I lost my phone!  We have to find it!" Jack shouted.

I put my face in my hands.  This was going to eat away even more of our time.  Why today Jack?

"Well, we better start looking you big idiot." Rosie said, directing that to Jack.

He ruffled Rosie's hair and said, "Give me a break."

"How can I?  This is supposed to be one of the best party's for your little sister, and you lost your phone." Rosie said, laughing a little.

I wasnt sure why she was laughing.

"Okay, well to make sure we can get to the party on time, lets meet here in 30 minutes." Jack said.

I nodded.  Rosie and I went searching for Jack's phone.  We spent the next 30 minutes looking for it.  We met the two back at the entrance.  Jack looked upset.  He hadnt found it.  And he wouldnt be happy to hear that we didnt either.  We walked quickly and silently back to the limo to get back for the party.  The clock on it read 3:12.  Oh my God!  We were going to be late!  

"Driver, drive very fast!"  I screamed.  

The driver slammed on the ignition, and we drove faster.  

All of a sudden Jack started shouting, "MY PHONE!  IT WAS IN THE CUSHION!"  

Seriously?  We spent 30 minutes trying to find the phone that was in the limo.  I felt like yelling at Jack, but its over and there is nothing I can do about it.  When we arrived at the hotel, Rosie and I ran up into our rooms.  It was 3:23 and Nash would want us down there in any second.  We slipped on nice dresses, and put some makeup on.  Luckily, I had a gift bag for Rosie's present, and I just ended up putting Hayes' present in there instead.  Rosie doesnt care.  I heard a beep on my phone and looked at it.  A group message directed by Nash.

Nash: Everyone meet me in the conference room on floor 5 within the next 10 minutes.  Hayes will be arriving with Aaron around 3:45 and I want everyone there when he comes in.  Remember, its a SURPRISE.

Rosie: Okay, what exactly is the plan?

I looked over at her, and she started laughing.  Wow Rosie.

Nash: Aaron is going to text us when he is 5 minutes away, and when Hayes walks in, we are going to turn on the black lights and scream surprise!

Rosie:  Nice...

Taylor:  What should we wear?

Shawn:  White shirts because it is a black light party

Brent: Duh

Nash:  Yeah, please wear white!

I looked down at my outfit.  I was not wearing white.  

Matthew:  Oo, I bet my girlfriend is gonna look hot!

What the hell Matt?

Me: Woah! She is my best friend and practically my sister!  Perv.

Carter: Chill Eli, he's a normal boy.

JJ: All of you calm down because I am going to be the hot one there :)

Matthew:  You wish!

Rosie:  Yeah!  But I think we should all be considering the romance between ELIZA and HAYES!

Nash:  Most definitely!  Kissy kissy! Okay, now BYE and see ya'll soon!

I looked up and glared at Rosie, who was laughing hysterically.  Rosie was wearing a short white dress and she smirked at me saying, "Looks like I was the lucky one that got to wear white tonight."  

We laughed.

"I dont have anything white." I said, breaking my laugh and panicking a little.

Rosie nodded while saying, "It's fine.  I just so happen to have a white skirt and pink tank top you can wear!"  

Thank God for Rosie!  What would I do without her?

I put on the white skirt and the neon pink tank top.

Rosie grabbed her present for Hayes.  Wait, she had bought him a present?

"What did you get Hayes?" I asked.

"Oh, I got him a swim suit to promote swimming.  Its such a great sport."  She said.

Oh God.  Great.

The two of us walked into the elevator and we were joined by Jack and JJ.  

"You two look so cute!" Jack said to Rosie and I.

"Thank you!  You too!"  Rosie said, mimicking Jack's voice.

He nudged her, and JJ and I laughed.  Jack and Rosie had such a friend/enemy relationship.  We walked into the room and everyone was there waiting.  

"Quickly!  Get a spot!  Hayes will be here soon!" Nash said excitedly.

Rosie and I sat behind a table in the corner.

"Five minutes!" Nash said.  He turned off the lights and sat next to the big black light.

The light was huge!  Nash was probably going to be the one to turn it on when Hayes walked in.  Rosie and I waited.  Then, we heard Hayes before Aaron opened the door.

"Dude, why are we going here?" Hayes asked.

Then, the door opened and Nash turned on the light.  

"SURPRISE!"  Everyone yelled.  

I couldn't really see Hayes' expression because of the lighting, but I knew Hayes was happy and surprised.  This was going to be a fun night.
