The next day, I woke up to the boys screaming next door.  What the heck were they doing?  When I brought myself up, I realized they weren't joking around.  Great, what was it this time?  I place my ear on the door to try to understand the muffling sounds of their voices.

"Jack, you have to tell Eliza!" Carter said in a serious tone.

Carter could be serious?  Huh.

"I don't want to, my Dad should be the one!"  Jack replied worriedly.

What?  What about my father?

"Then out him on the phone so Eliza can talk to him and understand that if she doesnt go see him, she has to go to court!"  Nash said.

Why do I need to go to court if I don't see my Dad?

All of a sudden, the door fell open and I saw many male faces turn towards me.  I didn't know the door was unlocked, but that's not the point.

"What were you talking about?"  I asked.

No one replied.

"Jack?" I asked, trying to see if he would respond.

Jack slowly got up and handed me the cell phone.  It was calling an unidentified number.

"Hello?" The faintly recognizable voice asked.

It was my Dad.

"What do you want from me?" I said, not knowing how else to respond to a man that I haven't seen my entire life.

"You have to come spend the summer with me, Eliza.  I have bought you a plane ticket for tonight.  I live in San Diego, so the flight won't be very long.  Jack is coming too, so don't worry about being alone." He said at a quick pace.

I dont want to go.

"I don't want to."  I said meanly into the phone.

"You have to, sweetie."  My father replied.

"No, I don't." I said, even though I know the rules of divorce.  Rosie taught me a long time ago.

There was a long pause before he said, "Yes, you do, and don't worry, because you will have a great time and I can't wait to catch up on each other's lives and spend time together with your older brother.  I'm very sorry I haven't spoken to you in all these years, but my job has been very busy and I haven't been able to get your number.  I heard you were doing some filming get together, but you will have to skip out on the rest of that, because family is more important than friends."

"Okay, bye." I said.

I guess I have no choice.

I hung up the phone and handed it back to Jack.

"We're leaving tonight."  I said.  "And we don't have a choice."
