"Eliza! Eliza!" Jack shouted in the distance.
His voice was growing more and more faint.
Tears were flowing out of my eyes, and my legs were numb.
Why now?
Why now?
Why now?
Why now?
Why now?
Why now?
BOOM!
I crashed into the wall and fell down onto the floor. Where am I? I looked around. Oh wow, I am still in the hallway. What is wrong with me? Why did I feel like I was miles away?
"Eliza. There you are." Rosie whispered from behind me.
"Please, go away." I cried.
Tears were streaming down again.
She embraced me.
All of a sudden, my arm was wet. Rosie was crying too. We sat there for minutes, which felt like hours, just crying. I bet the security camera monitors were laughing their heads off right now.
I let go of Rosie, and said, "Why did you come?"
"Seriously, Eliza? You think I am going to let my best friend run away while emotionally troubled? You have never met your Dad, and now he all of a sudden calls you, and you think I wont comfort you?" Rosie said, but it seemed like she was screaming.
"No!" I replied, crying even harder than before.
"Eliza, I will always be here for you and dont ever think for a minute that I wont be! Hayes may be your boyfriend, but he's not your best friend! Just like Matthew could never replace you. I know we have been separated this entire trip, but when you are upset, that doesn't change my responsibility to comfort you! You can never loose me!" Rosie cried.
The white carpet had dark spots from our tears.
Without thinking, I screamed. Louder than I ever have. My father called for the first time ever, and I am crying like a baby in the middle of a hallway with my best friend; in which who knows who can hear us.
Rosie screamed too. Im not sure why, maybe to reassure me everything is okay.
I sat on the floor breathing heavily with Rosie sitting directly in front of me, breathing heavily too.
"Come on. Let's get out of here." Rosie said, pulling me up by my arms.
As we were about to enter the elevator, Nash came out of nowhere saying, "Where did you-holy crap! What happened?"
"We are fine. Tell Jack we will be back around 2am. Bye." Rosie said (also demanded.)
That night, Rosie and I bought hamburgers and walked to the beach. We talked, and talked, and talked. It was nice to catch up. Even though we were around each other the whole time, it felt like the truth this time.
