Chapter Eleven

After Hayes and I kissed, we couldnt stop staring at each other.  The entire car ride, we were whispering softly and holding hands.

"What stores do you like?" Hayes asked me.

I thought about it for a moment and answered, "Well, I like American Eagle, Aèropostal, Bath and Body Works, and Claire's."

Hayes gave me a disapproving look, and then smiled while saying, "Well, those are definitely not my favorite stores, but I'll go with you."

 "Thanks!"  I said happily.

When we got to the mall, Hayes and I were still holding hands.  Everyone got out of the car.

"Okay, so who is going with who?" Carter asked.

Jack scanned everyone, stopping briefly on Hayes and I.

"Well, how about Nash, Cameron, Carter and Taylor come with JJ and I.  Matt, Eliza, Hayes, and Rosie can go together.  And then that leaves Brent, Shawn, and Aaron!  How about we meet up at the food court around 4?" Jack said.

Oh my gosh, Jack is actually letting me be alone with Hayes.  Well, technically not alone, because Matt and Rosie were with us, but Jack wasnt here to be my body guard like he usually is.

"Rosie, where do you want to go first?" I asked.

She looked at Matt, and then back at me and said, "Well, how about Claire's!  Because we all know that Claire's is Hayes' favorite store!" 

Hayes gave Rosie an evil glare and said, "Yep, it definitely is." 

The three of us tried to keep up with Rosie, who was skipping around the mall to find Claire's.  It had been about 20 minutes, and we still coudlnt find it.  Gosh, this place is so big.  I spotted a map of the mall, and ran over to it.

"Guys!  Come over here!" I shouted.

The three others turned around and walked over to me.  I found Claire's on the map, and it was downstairs.  No wonder we couldnt find it.  Hayes and I walked onto the escalator first, and then Matt and Rosie.  

I heard Matthew whisper quietly to Rosie, "Hey, remember you were on an escalator when I saw your beautiful face for the first time this summer." 

I giggled, and Hayes started laughing too.  

"Oh, shut up Matthew!  You know that's not true." She said, a little louder than his whisper was.

"Really?  Because I'm pretty sure there was an escalator in the airport." He teased.

I turned around, and she softly slapped his chest.

"What am I going to do with you Matthew Espinosa?" She said.

We got off the escalator, and Rosie and Matt approached us as if nothing had just happened.  They were good at hiding their love.  Hayes and I were the only ones who knew about it.  

"Okay, so Claire's is over there love-bugs." Hayes said, pointing to the shop.

Rosie blushed and Matt slipped his hand into hers.  The four of us walked inside Claire's and looked around, purchasing a few things.  Occasionally, I heard Rosie yelling at Matt.

"No!  You do not need to buy me anything!" She said, laughing as he tried to take what she was holding and pay for it.

Rosie kept her word for as long as she could, but eventually, Matt got on her good side, and she let him pay for a few things.  Hayes did the same to me, but our relationship was a little more conservative.  Rosie and Matthew's was affable, and honestly, hilarious.

When the four hours was up, which actually went by fast, we walked to the food court.  Taylor, Nash, Cameron, Carter, Jack and JJ were already there.  Brent, Shawn, and Aaron hadnt arrived yet.  

Jack came up to me and whispered, "Hey Bud, did you have fun?  Were there any boys problems?  Did you get anything?" 

I laughed and said, "There were no problems.  We had a really good time.  I got a few things, but not that much.  Oh!  Matt and Rosie really have a thing going on too."  

Jack looked at Rosie and then Matt.  He did not seem convinced.  I shrugged it off, and sat next to Hayes.  Until the other boys came, Hayes and I talked.  For having just kissed, we were acting like nothing happened.  I liked that.

"Sorry we are late!  Brent had to fight some guy for the last hat in Hot Topic!" Aaron said.

Shawn was laughing so hard and said, "Yes, but it was worth seeing!"

We all laughed and looked at Brent.  Brent did not look happy.  I guess he hadnt gotten the hat.

"Whatever, he had an advantage." Brent mumbled, but loud enough so we could all hear.

"Yeah, and what was that?" Nash asked.

"Well...um...he was fat!" Brent said.

We all started laughing, and Brent even had a grin on his face.  When we were done wih our episode, we got food from the McDonalds.  I wasn't a fan, but after four hours in the mall, I was really hungry.

We loaded back into the limo once again, and headed back to the hotel.  When we got there, everyone gathered in Jack and JJ's room for a movie.  Oh crap, they chose The Conjuring.  Rosie absolutely loves scary movies, but I hate them!  

Hayes could probably tell I didnt want to watch that, so he whispered, "Hey, do you want to go down to the beach?  I personally hate scary movies." 

I nodded while replying, "Yeah, and me too!"

And I went out of the room, I said to Jack, "I am going down to the beach with Hayes.  I cant watch this movie."

He nodded, obviously distracted by the television screen.  I looked over at Rosie one last time.  Her and Matthew were next to each other.  I would say sitting if Rosie was actually sitting down.  She was on her knees, right in front of Matt's view, jumping up and down from the excitement from the movie.  Poor guy, but I knew he cared about her, so he probably wouldnt care.  I grabbed my shoes, and texted Jack just in case he didnt process what I said.  After that, Hayes and I left for the beach.
