After Matt asked Rosie out, she wouldnt shut up about it. No, it wasnt annoying, because she has deserved this for so long. We were all gathered in Jack and JJ's room, like always, to talk about it. Its easy to say that Matt and Rosie were the center of attention. Honestly, I think everyone was waiting for Hayes to ask me out now. And guess what? I wasnt planning on it anytime soon. I dont know why, but it doesnt seem like we are that far into our 'relationship' yet.
"Hey Eliza, can I talk to you for a second?" Shawn asked me.
I had never really talked to Shawn, he was really quiet and shy.
"Yeah, whats up?" I asked him when we were in my room.
"Well, there is this girl I like, and you seem to always have the best relationship advice for everyone else, so could you help me out? You dont have to." Shawn said, blushing and getting quieter as he finished his sentence.
I replied, "Of course Shawn. What do you need help with?"
He thought about what he was going to say for a second, and then responded, "Well, I need to ask her out. But in an awesome way. She is coming tomorrow, and I want to surprise her."
I thought. It must have been about 10 minutes, because he got really fidgity and was tapping his knee really fast.
"Dont you sing?" I asked.
He nodded. I remember seeing his vines, and I must admit, he was a really good singer.
"Okay, sing her a song. You know the song 'Marry Me' by Jason Derulo? Well, instead of saying Marry Me, you could say date me, or be my girlfriend. Does that makes sense? Can you do that?" I asked, trying the best I could to help.
He smiled and said, "Yes! Thank you! That's perfect!"
I laughed and Shawn left my room. A couple seconds later, I heard someone walk in.
Thinking it was Shawn for some more advice, I said, "Hey Shawn! You could also-"
I was cut off.
"That was really nice of you. And it's Hayes, not Shawn!" Hayes exclaimed.
I smiled and got up, looking at Hayes in the doorway.
"You know, it's 5pm and no one has gotten anything to eat today? Probably because we were all so nervous for Rosie and Matt." Hayes said, laughing a little.
I giggled and asked, "Do you want to go get something to eat downstairs?"
"Sure! I was hoping you would ask that!" Hayes exclaimed.
I happily told Jack I was going downstairs, put on my shoes, and went downstairs with Hayes to go eat. We didnt talk the entire elevator ride down, but my mind was racing with thoughts. My stomach was full of anxiety and nervousness. I wonder if his was too. Did he feel the same way I did about him?
