Something told me, today wasn't going to be a good day for him.

The day after this appointment, I tried to work with him on something.. Anything. The doctor said to work with him, but I feel like if I do, he'll get mad.

Last night, wasn't successful. I tried to sneak in some treatment. The doctor said to work on speech delay, and the second I tried, Nate knew what I was doing.

I wanted to try again tonight, but he wasn't paying attention. I wanted something different, and I don't think I'm going to get it.

But before I could even get a chance, Nate's phone rang at 4:00 and he's been on the phone since. Morgan was in the kitchen when he walked into the kitchen still on the phone.

She had Briar in her arms, while Nate leaned against the counter.

"Yeah," I hear him say silently when Briar started blowing bubbles, spitting in her mothers face, making Morgan laugh. "I can have those in by -- What are you laughing at?" He asked, cutting himself off as Morgan was laughing, which made everyone else laugh.

His reaction is what made everyone crack up.

"What the hell is so funny?" He asked. "What has happened, that is so funny?"

"Briar just spit in my face." Morgan told him. "Also, I need your help."

"I gotta go." I heard him say, before setting his phone down. "Whatcha need?'

"Help with some lighting." She told him.

"Lighting?"

"Yes, I've asked Phoebe to help me film something, like an update on Briar cause my mom hasn't seen her yet." She said to her boyfriend. "Get your camera."

"Oh. Okay.." He answered walking to the office, with Morgan behind him. I followed with my wife, getting my phone out. I'm filming this.

He's in a good condition right now, and I fear if he loses his mind, he'll forget what he's really like, so maybe if I film some of it, he'll remember.

"So remind me again, why you want my camera." Nate started silently, as Morgan gently bounced their daughter.

"I was going to use mine, but yours works better in lighting." Morgan told him.

"Oh, alright. Hold on then." He answered, turning on the studio lights, one by one. He then looked at me with a sigh. "Are you filming?" He asked me calmly.

"Yes." I answered.

"Why?"

"No reason."

Phoebe took Nate's camera, turning it on, checking the lighting. She had it focused on Nate, who was properly focused on Nate, due to the lighting.

"The lighting really likes you." Phoebe laughed.

"Here Morgan, take my place." Nate told his girlfriend, taking the camera from Phoebe.

Morgan obeyed, standing in the light.

He went silent for a moment, trying to focus. "Wow, the lighting likes you a lot better." He told her with a bit of s mumble.

"Does it?" She asked.

"Maybe it's not the lighting." He says. "Maybe you ladies are just prettier than me." He added, referring to his girlfriend and daughter.

She rolled her eyes, looking at him. "Me? Prettier than you? I highly, highly doubt it." She said. "Your daughter may be prettier than you, but I am not."

He looked over, looking away from the camera looking to his girlfriend.

"Well." He started quietly, setting the camera down. He had nothing else to say after that.

He just smiled setting the camera down.

Nate silently looked over, glancing over the group.

What is he doing?

What is he thinking?
