(So this is a thing I did. It kinda is Fire Emblem, but it isn't. Idk
It involves the main character of A Cold Summer, Yuki.Thismayormaynotbecanon-)
I looked at the man in front of me in confusion. "So you're...a dragon...as well as my cousin?"
He nodded. "Yeah. I mean, these wings and tail aren't fake, Kai."
"So, an ice dragon from another world...is my cousin," I mumbled under my breath. This 'dragon's' name was Yuki. I didn't want to believe him, but it seemed...right.
I had obviously spaced out, as Yuki placed his hand on my shoulder. "Kai? Are you okay?"
"Y-yeah," I said, snapping back to reality. "So, ah, how exactly are we...related?"
Yuki shook his head. "To be honest, I'm not really sure myself. My best guess is that my grandfather, or great-grandfather or whatever, is one of the original dragons from this...realm. And as such, since all First Dragons are related, that makes us cousins, even though you are a direct descendant of one of those First Dragons."
I took a moment to think about it, and then nodded. "Alright, yeah. I guess that makes sense. Anyways," I said with a sigh. "While you're still here, I should probably introduce you to the other three-quarters of my family."
"Married?" he asked.
I nodded. "Yeah. My husband is Takumi, and I have two sons. Kiragi and Kana. They're about 11 years old."
Yuki smiled. "Wow. Sounds like a great family."
"It is. Anyways, let's get going."
Yuki nodded, and we began making our way to the Vallite castle, as we were already in Valla. When we got to it, Yuki looked at the castle in amazement. "Wow...this is so much better looking than Castle Sanda..."
"Castle Sanda? What's that?" I asked.
Yuki sighed. "It's the castle in Sanda, the capital of Samarando, the kingdom that I'm from."
I nodded. "Ah, I see. I guess that makes sense."
"Mhm..." he then paused as he mumbled something under his breath, but I was still able to hear him. "...I'm just mad she isn't here to see this..."
"Hm? Something wrong?" I asked.
Yuki suddenly snapped to attention, as if he'd been spacing out. "H-huh? Oh...no. I was just thinking about someone that I knew that would've loved this place..."
I sighed. "Alright. Anyways, this is where I live. It's known as Castle Gyges. My father resided here while he was 'king'. This is also where I killed him," I said as we walked in.Takumi was there to greet me. "You're back, K-" He stopped mid-sentence as his gaze shifted to Yuki. "Um, Kai? Who is this...?"
I sighed. "Takumi, meet Yuki. He's technically my cousin. He's also from another world."
Yuki smiled and slightly bowed. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Your Highness."
Takumi scratched his head, unaccustomed to Yuki's formality. "Um, Yuki. Just Takumi is fine. I mean, you are Kai's cousin, so being informal with me is okay."
"Got it," Yuki said with a nod.
I sighed, turning my attention to Takumi. "So, where are the kids?"
"Spending the day in Hoshido with Ryoma, Azura and Shiro."
I nodded. "Ah, that's right. I remember that now."
Takumi nodded. "Anyways, why don't we show Yuki around?"
I nodded. "That sounds like a great idea."===
And that's how I met my cousin, Yuki. He did tell me about the person he said that would love it here, but he also asked me to not share any information about it, and I completely respect his request.
I really never thought I had a cousin, besides Azura, but that's from my mother's side.
I never thought I'd have a cousin based on the draconic side of my family. But, you know, it happened.
Sometimes life can throw things at you that you never saw coming. Today was a prime example of that.
