(Yo. I'm not dead. Surprise! Anyways, this is a short story that is based on an RP I did with LunaThePoet. I mean, I had the short story idea, and I was like, yo. Let's RP this. And we did. This is the result.)

Luna sighed as she sat in her room in Astra's castle, continuing to read one of Xander's plentiful letters. "God, you're such a sweetheart..." she mumbled to herself.
Noticing that there was one more letter from Xander, dated three days ago, and she picked it up. "...hm? One more?" she asked herself as she began to read it.

Luna,

I hope all is well in Astra. Everything is fine in Nohr...but saying that would actually be a lie. I know I always talk about how Kai keeps threatening us, but this time the danger is real. As I am writing this, Kai and her forces are no more than four days out. With that said, I'm afraid that I'll have to face her in battle. I know this might be a lot to ask of from you, but please...come to Nohr. It really would mean a lot to me right now.

-Xander

"Hm...I'd better see what's going on," she said to herself before rushing off to the portal that connected to Nohr.

Xander was nervously pacing around the grand hall in Castle Krakenburg. There was no doubting that Kai and her Hoshidan siblings would be arriving at some point tomorrow. What bothered him the most, though, was that Luna had yet to come to Nohr, or even respond to his letters.

Then, almost as if on cue, Luna came running into the hall. "Xander!" she cried out.
He then turned to face her, a huge smile on his face. "Luna! You finally made it!"
She then engulfed him in a hug, obviously happy to see him. "Are you okay?" she then asked him, concern in her voice.
He nodded, hugging her back. "Yes. I'm perfectly alright," he said with a slight smile.
"Oh, thank gods," Luna said with a sigh. "I thought Kai would've gotten to you before I even got here..."
Xander sighed. "...to be honest, I was thinking the same."
"Well, at least I'm here now, you dork!" Luna said with a smile.
He nodded, and then changed the subject. "Luna...I already told you...but...when Kai gets here...I'm going to have to fight her."
"That's not a problem," Luna said. "I'll just fight with you."
Xander shook his head. "Luna...you don't understand. I don't want you to get hurt. This is my battle."
Luna shook her head. "B-but I don't want you to get hurt either!" she said before breaking down into tears on his shoulder
Xander sighed, and gently rubbed her back. "Luna...hear me out. I have no intention of purposefully falling in battle. I will fight the best that I can."

Luna didn't verbally respond to him but instead pulled him in for a kiss.
Xander smiled slightly and returned the favor.
"I...I love you," Luna said once they had broke from their kiss.
He smiled, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "I love you too Luna," he said before slightly pausing. "...there's something I need to tell you."
"What's that?" Luna asked, obviously confused.
Xander blushed slightly as he broke away from her. "I...Luna, when our paths first crossed due to your crazy guardian of a space goddess, I knew that there was something special about you. However...not until Kai abandoned Nohr did I realize what that something special was. You know as well as I do that I'm in love with you. In all honesty, I have been since I first met you. Luna, I don't want you to ever leave my side. That's why..." he then paused as he got to one knee. "Luna...will you marry me?"
Luna only hesitated for a second before he tackled Xander to the ground with a hug. "Are you kidding me?! Of course I will!"
Xander slightly grunted as he was tackled to the ground, but still smiled as he ran a hand through her hair. "I love you so much, Luna."
"I love you more," she said with a slight smirk.
"Oh yeah? Prove it."
Luna then giggled as she gave Xander another kiss.
Xander then kissed her back.
