(So this one is a bit different. It's a short story, but it includes the Sarah that was in books that I took down. Anyways, let's get onto this. This story is based on an episode of Pokémon Generations, linked above, and there are quite a few changes, including that N has Zekrom and Sarah has Reshiram.
Oh, all characters that are originally from Pokémon belong to the company, blah blah blah...
Anyhow,
Enjoy!)===
I sighed as I stood outside of the entrance to the Giant Chasm, Zekrom by my side. Supposedly Ghetsis was inside, controlling Kyurem. I had called Sarah for backup, but she said that she had to take care of something and that she'd be here as soon as she could.
"This...this is quite possibly it, Zekrom," I said as I mounted on the dragon's back.
Zekrom let out a low rumble, and I could tell that he understood that it was possible that we might not exit the cave alive.
"We need to do this. For Sarah, for her family, for everyone she cares about...including me," I mumbled under my breath.
"Now Kyurem! Increase your power and freeze the entire Unova region!" I heard Ghetsis call out from inside the Chasm.
"That's our cue, Zekrom!" I shouted.
Zekrom nodded, and flew into the cave, and fired a Bolt Strike at the cold air Kyurem had created, stopping it in its tracks.
Zekrom then flew around to find a place to land, and I took the chance to jump off his back and faced Ghetsis, the man who had raised me, and Kyurem. I remained silent as I did so, the only real noise I made was taking a deep breath to calm myself.
Ghetsis slightly grinned as Zekrom landed behind me. "So, you decided to come. The freak without a human heart, N."
I slightly glared at him, clenching my fist. "Zekrom...he told me that Kyurem is suffering. And you know that I won't allow a selfish human such as yourself to make Pokémon suffer."
Ghetsis chuckled as I took a break to catch my breath.
"And you know I like Unova. It's the place that I grew up. The place where I spent all of my time with Sarah and Steven. It's where I learned how to live alongside them. There are so many memories I have here. I...I can't allow you to cover them all over in ice."
Ghetsis grinned. "Excellent. That was a very moving expression of your determination. It seems as if the education I gave you to become a great king didn't completely go to waste. However, all that aside," he continued on as a more grim expression took over his face, "I have not forgotten that you and that...vermin of the Hero of Truth have disrupted my plans," he said as he drew out a small yellow prism-like object, "and I'll teach you, both you and Sarah a lesson by using these DNA Splicers."At that point, the DNA Splicers had fully extended and became an odd double-helix-like energy. It then went over to Kyurem, who had its neck extended, and went into it, causing the ice around the spikes on its wings to dissipate into fragments. Kyurem then shifted its attention to Zekrom, and I knew exactly what was going to happen.
"Zekrom!" I exclaimed. "You know what to do!"
Zekrom gave me a quick nod, and took to the air, and started to fly around the Giant Chasm, trying to out-fly the beams of light that Kyurem had sent after it.
As that was happening, I couldn't help but let my mind wander.
Was Sarah going to make it in time? Or was this going to be it for me? I didn't want it to end that way, but I was more than glad to give myself up in the end. I knew Sarah was eventually going to get here. Even if I was already dead, she'd fight and win against Ghetsis. She'd win against him, and she wouldn't let my sacrifice be in vain.
I was suddenly cut from my trance when I heard Zekrom let out a roar of pain. I quickly turned my attention to the source and only saw Zekrom surrounded by a purple energy for a fraction of a second before he reverted to his Dark Stone form.
I gasped. "No! Zekrom!"However, before I could do anything, beams of energy shot from the spikes on Kyurem's wings and engulfed the Dark Stone. Kyurem then pulled the stone closer to its body, and eventually, Kyurem absorbed the Dark Stone, and a bit of electricity surrounded it as it began to transform, and before I knew it, a creature that I had only heard of, stood before me. Black Kyurem.
I grit my teeth, running a bit closer to Ghetsis. "Y-you monster! Why are you doing this?! You're hurting Zekrom!"
"Silence!" Ghetsis barked at me. "I'm going to destroy you now, and then whenever that failure of a queen shows up, I'm going to destroy her as well! Her family needs to pay for what they tried to do to me back in Snowpoint Temple all those years ago! Not to mention, they need to pay for what they did during the Team Plasma and Galactic alliance!"
I sighed, trying to compose myself and keep my cool. "Zekrom...I can still feel your presence. Don't worry. I'll separate you from that monster."
Ghetsis growled at me. "Shut up you good for nothing boy! Stop changing the subject! No matter how much you try to delay it, I will destroy you and Sarah! Team Plasma will not fail again! Once I'm done with the two of you, I'll move on to your family. There will be no escape. We will win this time."
I only remained silent as he rambled on. I had this gut feeling that Sarah was close, that she and Reshiram were coming to save me.
I took a deep breath and looked Ghetsis in the eye. "I...it's hard for me to call you this, but...Father,"
Ghetsis gave me a disgusted look as I said that word, but I continued on.
"I..you've changed me so much as a person. You've also changed Sarah and Steven. Why are you turning your back on them? On us? We're-"
Ghetsis suddenly cut me off. "Shut up! You three were nothing more than tools to allow me to gain power! Not only that but if the two of you never betrayed me in the first place, none of this would've happened!"
Kyurem then readied a ball of what looked like a combination of both electricity and ice. Then I realized this was Black Kyurem's signature move, Freeze Shock. I stood my ground, ready to take the attack, ready to give my life so Sarah could defeat Ghetsis and avenge my death.
"We won't let you get away with this! Fusion Flare!" I suddenly heard Sarah cry out from the entrance of the Chasm, and a Fusion Flare came and hit the Freeze Shock, melting the attack.
Ghetsis took a step back, obviously surprised by the attack. "What the...how was she able to get in so quickly?! I had this place secure!"
"Sorry about that, Ghetsis," Sarah said with a chuckle as she landed next to me on Fusion, which is what she named Reshiram."
"Yeah! Your Grunts were no match for me, Willpower and Eon!" I then heard Steven say.
Sarah then hopped off of Fusion, as did Steven.
"I can't believe that I called you Father...or that I accepted the fact that I was adopted. Though I will never understand why Wallace gave me up, I'll never look at you as a father again," Sarah said, clearly frustrated as she returned Fusion.
Ghetsis chuckled. "Oh, my dear Sarah. You know, if you had never left me in the first place, we wouldn't be here-"
"Shut up!" she cried out, obviously holding back tears. "You have no right to criticize me! You're the one who started this! You came to the Sootopolis Gym and stole the DNA Splicers after you entrusted them to me! I...I always thought that I could trust you, even if I knew you weren't my real father...or that I knew that my true one was alive! But I was wrong!"
Sarah then continued to ramble on at Ghetsis, and I didn't dare interfere, even though I knew the truth, and Ghetsis probably did too. Sarah's real father...it isn't even Wallace. I'll still remember that day, all those years ago. Maxie, the leader of Team Magma, brought Sarah to the Team Plasma base. He had work to do, and he couldn't take Sarah with her...and I made a huge mistake. I'd never be able to forgive myself for it.
"N. Are you okay?" Steven suddenly asked, bringing me out of my trance.
"Hm? Oh, yeah. I'm fine," I said.
He nodded. "All right. Sarah said she was going to rant to him, but I didn't expect something like this..."
I nodded in agreement. "Yeah...it doesn't seem like her at all. Yet again, it could be her Yveltal side getting at her emotions," I sighed.
Before Steven could answer, Ghetsis spoke up, chuckling. "Oh, Sarah. You can ramble on all you want, but I will kill the three of you today. There is no avoiding it!"
Sarah growled and suddenly grabbed my arm. "Steven, hold Ghetsis off! N and I will take care of Kyurem!"
Steven nodded, and returned both Eon and Willpower, and turned to face Ghetsis. "I hope you're ready for this. All the training you gave to us, it certainly wasn't for nothing!"
Ghetsis chuckled, drawing a Poké Ball from his cloak. "Oh, you'd better bet I am. This battle...it'll be nothing short of electrifying!" Ghetsis called out before sending out his Bisharp.
Steven sighed, and sent out Charcoal, his shiny Magmortar. "I won't let you win!"
