Sarah grit her teeth as she returned her Shiny Flygon, as it had been knocked out by her opponent's Camerupt.
"I won't let you beat me, Maxie!" she growled as she pulled out the Poké Ball of her final Pokémon, Water, her Feraligatr.
Maxie chuckled as he tossed an Oran Berry at his Camerupt, who caught it, and ate it. "And why's that? You're down to your last Pokémon, while I still have two, including Camerupt here."
Sarah sighed as she wiped some sweat off of her head with her gloved hand, as Sunny Day had been a constantly used move, and the battle had been going on for quite some time by that point. "Because...father," she said, as if disgusted with that word, "As Ghetsis' right-hand Admin, I refuse to go down without a fight!" she yelled. "Now! Let's do this, Water!" Sarah said as she threw the Poké Ball, sending out the Pokémon.
As the reptile emerged from it's ball, it let out a battle cry, and began sizing up its opponent, and then turned to Sarah and nodded.
Sarah smiled. "All right! Start out with a Rain Dance!"
The Feraligatr nodded, and turned its head to the sky, and let out a cry, and fairly quickly, the sunny weather was replaced with clouds, and it soon began to pour.
Maxie grinned. "Well, I'll play fair and allow this rain to play out. However...once I send out my final Pokémon, I don't think that will be necessary."
Sarah was slightly taken aback by his comment. That could only mean one of two things. Either he had found Groudon, or he planned on using a Pokémon with the ability Drought, aside from Groudon.
Sarah was silent for a moment, but then called out a command. "Hydro Pump!"
Her Pokémon nodded, and used the attack, instantly knocking out Camerupt.

Maxie chuckled as he returned his Pokémon. "Well done, Sarah. I would expect no less talent from my daughter. However, the time has now come for me to defeat you," he said, drawing out an older looking Nest Ball.
Sarah slightly gasped, instantly recognizing the Poké Ball. "Th-there's no way..."
Maxie grinned as he adjusted his glasses, on which his Key Stone was embedded. "Hm? What's wrong, Sarah? Do you recognize this Poké Ball?" he asked her before pausing for a second. "Oh, who am I kidding," ge said with a chuckle. "Of course you do. It's the Poké Ball you left behind the night you ran away. The night that you realized how bad I really was. If it wasn't for your simple mistake, this Pokémon would be your most trusted partner, and you wouldn't even have your Feraligatr. Now, let's show her the results of her mistakes! Let's go, Magma!"

Sarah could only watch as Maxie sent out the shiny Charizard. She then gasped when she realized he had a Charizite Y, meaning when he Mega Evolved, his ability would become Drought.
"I...Magma," Sarah said, at a complete loss of words. "Do...do you remember me...?"
The black fire dragon only growled at her, indicating hostility.
Maxie slightly chuckled as Magma growled. "Oh, Sarah...have you forgotten that he has a naughty nature? That, combined with the fact that you up and left him, gave him a bad impression of you. Now, I'm sure he'll try to do all that he can to get revenge on you, even if it means killing you."
Sarah was taken aback by his comment. "K-kill me?! I-I'd...I'm not going down without a fight!" Sarah then called out, finding yet another reason to defeat her father in battle.
He smirked. "That's exactly what I expected to hear from you. Now, I do believe that it is my turn. In that case...Magma! Let's show her what you can do and Mega Evolve!" Maxie called out as he pressed the Key Stone in his glasses.

Sure enough, the Charizite Y on Magma's Mega Harness began to react with Maxie's Key Stone, and within seconds, Magma's body had changed. His wings had become slightly larger, and ragged on the edges, and his body had a slight purple hue to it.
As soon as the transformation was complete, the rain clouds quickly dispelled, and the sunlight became quite harsh.
Sarah had to squint in order to see Maxie in the sunlight. "There's no way this is normal! What did you do?" she asked aloud, primarily out of curiosity.
Maxie chuckled. "I'm glad you asked. However, I'd like you to find out for yourself."
Sarah grit her teeth, feeling a bit disturbed by his challenge. "In that case, Water, let's show him how it's really done!"
Water nodded, knowing exactly what was about to happen.
