(So this is a bit of an older thing. I'm not sure how old, but my mom found this crumpled up piece of paper (see above), and this was on it. So, I hope you enjoy!)

I was only ten at the time, and I looked over at my cousin, Zinnia, who was two years older than me. "Are you sure about this? I mean, I was denied an egg..."
Zinnia sighed. "Raven, look. Just keep it hidden, and you'll be fine."
"That's exactly why I don't want to do this!" I exclaimed.
Zinnia then cautiously glanced around, as we were in the forest that surrounded their village. "I get that. We shouldn't, but I know you. You're a very talented individual. You deserve a Swablu. Trust me on this."
With a sigh, I tightly clutched the egg that Zinna had given me only minutes ago. "I-I guess you're right...I trust you, Zinnia."
She smiled. "See? There's nothing to worry about!"
I nodded. "R-right. Anyways, let's head back to the village...it's getting late."
With a nod, we both went back to the Draconid village.

Only a week had passed since Zinnia had given me the egg, and I was already starting to regret it.
I was being cornered in her room, and I was tightly clutching the egg. "A-Aquarius! Please...you can't take this from m-me!"
Aquarius sighed. "I'm sorry, Raven, but the rules are the rules. Give it to me, or else you'll be forced out of the village."
"I-I'd rather run away and keep th-this egg than stay here!" I whimpered. My sister was only a year older than me, but she'd never acted like this to me before.
Aquarius paused for a moment as she shook her head with a sigh. "I swear, Raven. One day running away from trouble is going to get you killed. But...I suppose I can cover your escape."
My eyes lit up at her response. "R-really? You mean it, Aquarius?!" I said in a loud whisper.
Aquarius nodded. "Yes, Raven. Now hurry up and get ready before I change my mind," she said as she stuck her hand out for me to take.
I then took my sister's hand, and stood up. "R-right."

(I am SO sorry that this ends as a cliff-hanger, but once I got to where this ended, I realized that there's a lot of story that Raven has to tell.

Consider this a sneak-peak of my book that will come after A Cold Summer

It will probably be called Last of the Draconids or Draconic Bonds

It will probably be a LOT longer than most of my books, probably closer to 40 or maybe 50 chapters. I mean, there's a LOT to cover for Raven's history, and some of it will be based on a role play, and-

I should probably just stop there.

All I'm saying is that I have TONS of plans for this book-
