somehow arthur had managed to convince merlin to go to the loud, overcrowded party

they decided to arrive a little late so it would have already settled down before the got there, which was a mistake

it had definitely not settled down in the slightest

people were drinking front, right and centre and the entire house smelt of a mix of drugs

'boys!' a very tipsy percival slurred as soon as they set foot on the porch 'come in, we just started'

he led them through various groups of drunk teenagers dancing and yelling at eachother to a less crowded room of some people merlin recognised to be arthur's friends

merlin should have known what he was in for and walked away as soon as he saw the circle but he was so concerned about keeping arthur happy he didn't pay attention to anything but him

he sat down between arthur and a girl called morgana, who always looked people directly in the eye (which made merlin violently uncomfortable). someone handed him a blue plastic cup with what he assumed to be alcohol in it so he set it down at his feet

'so, never have i ever' a girl with dark skin and curly brown hair started, the most sober of the group 'worn the same shirt for a week'

a few people in the group looked sheepish and drank from their cups

'do you know how to play' arthur whispered, breath ticking merlins ears

merlin shook his head, but he knew exactly how to play. he just liked the feeling of arthur being this close to him

'so every time someone says something that you've done, you take a drink' he motioned to his cup 'but when you say one, it has to be something you've never done'

merlin nodded and turned to face arthur, lingering with their faces millimetres away for a second longer then needed

'never have i ever had sex with someone i wasn't dating' a boy merlin recognised but didn't knew said

quite a few people drank while other people laughed or looked disgusted

arthur looked at merlin and waggled his eyebrows and pretended to take a sip, laughing at his own attempt of a joke

'never have i ever!' percival slurred loudly 'kissed someone of the same gender'

merlin and arthur both blushed an amazing shade of red and hesitantly drank from their cups

'arthur?' the curly haired girl laughed and everyone turned their attention to the sandy haired boy

merlin wondered how arthur managed to looked beautiful even when blushing furiously

'and merlin?' morgana shrieked and the room burst into quiet conversation

'no no no, we didn't, no!' the boy's both spluttered

'party ends in two hours guys! come and daaaannnceeee!' a girl in a pink leotard yelled, popping her head in the doorway

they were given knowing looks while the circle disbanded, the slightly drunk kids went to turn into extremely drunk kids. arthur smiled at merlin before going off to join them

'i believe you have quite a story to tell me' the same curly haired girl said from behind merlin

he turned around with a confused look in his face

'sorry, im gwen, and im not a complete idiot like some of the people here' gwen smiled 'so tell me how you and arthur kissed'
