'merlin, darling' arthur whispered, gently shaking the sleeping boys shoulders 'you have to get up'

merlin squeezed his eyelids tightly together and rolled over, pressing his hands to his ears in effort to block arthur out

'hey!' arthur laughed, jumping onto the bed 'don't ignore me!'

merlin opened one eye and pouted

'fuck you' he mumbled

arthur scoffed and crawled on top of the boy to pin him down while merlin wriggled for his life. it was no surprise that arthur overpowered him in a matter of minutes with his athletic background

the red and gold duvet was now hanging off the bed due to the level of movement it wasn't used to

'say that again' arthur smiled down at his struggling boyfriend

'what? fuck you?' merlin asked in mock innocence

'oh, fuck me?' arthur asked, hand ghosting over merlins stomach 'me?'

'you wouldn't dare' merlin said, eyes wide

'wouldn't i?' arthur smiled devilishly as he started to do one of the things he promised never to do to merlin, tickle him.

merlin squealed and tried to kick the older boy away, with no avail

's-stop' merlin breathed out between giggles as he frantically attempted to move his body away from arthur's touch

'make me' arthur said, face millimetres away from merlins

merlin raised an eyebrow and seized arthurs hand in his own, pushing the boy over with all of his might

'i think i just did' merlin smirked, straddling the boy underneath him

'it seems you have, but we're still going to be late for school'

'school?' merlins confidence faltered

arthur seized the opportunity and flipped the boy back underneath him, panting

'its sunday, merlin' arthur sighed getting up off him and the bed

'then im staying in bed' merlin said bluntly while crossing his arms and snuggling into the duvet, secretly disappointed arthur was leaving 

'you're so lazy!'

'shut the fuck up, i just got out of hospital you dickwad' merlin grumbled

'if you're still so tired then we shouldn't have left!' arthur exclaimed

'i couldn't hear you because i wasn't listening and i don't care what you have to say' merlin said stubbornly and climbed back under the covers

arthur pouted and held his hands out and merlin raised an eyebrow at him while hesitantly reaching out his own to meet arthurs, because he couldn't really ever say no him

arthur seized merlins hands and flung the boy over his shoulder while he yelled out in surprise, causing the sheets to go flying onto the grey carpeted floor

'put me down! this is a form of kidnapping you know!' merlin yelled, stifling giggles

'oh, merlin' arthur sighed, marching the both of them into the kitchen 'you really don't ever learn'

merlin protested the entire way down the hallway until arthur placed him down on the kitchen island.

'i hate you' he pouted

arthur cocked an eyebrow and stepped towards the boy, pressing their lips together harshly for seconds and pulling back

'oh look at you, you think you're so dominant!' merlin laughed 

arthur laughed and pushed the boy lightly in mock anger

'you show me how its done then!' arthur said

'alright, take notes darling' merlin smirked as arthur rolled his eyes

all of the sudden merlin hand had arthurs shirt twisted in his fist, pulling him closer and connecting their lips. merlin kissed the blonde boy with all that he could muster and hoped that he couldn't hear how loud his heart was beating. as the kiss deepened, merlin hooked his legs around arthur's waist and smiled when he heard him gasp quietly.

 he moved his hands to the other boys neck and finally pulled away

'where the fuck did that come from?' arthur asked in genuine shock

merlin was asking himself the same question, he didn't understand where all this confidence was coming from. whenever he and arthur were together it felt like there was a fire inside of him and it seemed to take over his body.

merlin giggled and shrugged, feeling his cheeks burn

arthur groaned loudly

'what?' merlin asked

'how do you go from smoking hot to adorable in a matter of seconds! i don't understand you!'

merlin blushed even deeper as arthur pulled him into the longest hug he's ever had

'maybe you're magic' arthur suggested and kissed merlins forehead

merlin froze at the 'm' word just quickly shook it off

'don't be stupid,' he lied into arthurs chest 'of course i don't have magic'
