Chapter 1

Jade's Life

"Jackie! Come on baby, we have to get ready for school!" I called out to my daughter. I waited for her by the door but she didn't come out. I began to walk up the stairs up to her room. I knocked on her door. "Jackie? Are you okay? We're gonna be late."

I realized that the door was a bit open. "Jackie? Honey, are you alright?" I looked on her bed and..she wasn't there? "Jackie? Jackie, stop playing! We need to go!" Then I heard a little giggle coming from the closet. So I decided to play dumb with Jackie. "Hm, I wonder where Jackie could be?" I walked slowly to the closet.

Then I opened up the closet. "Ah! Found y--" I looked at her hair and chubby little face. "Jackie! Were you in my makeup?!" "Yes mommy. Do you like it? I did it myself!" She said very happily. I couldn't get mad at her but instead, I laughed. I picked her up and took her to my bathroom to clean off the makeup and redo her hair.

"This might feel a little sticky because I've never put this on you before." I said, having her look at the makeup remover bottle. "Why is it sticky mommy?" "Well, because we need to take everything off. If it was water, it would go everywhere and never come off!" "Oh okay mommy. I got it." I laughed a bit. "Okay. After this, I'll brush your hair and get you dressed."

She gave me a thumbs up. I took off the makeup, brushed her beautiful short wavy hair. "Ow mommy! That hurts!" She screamed. "Sorry baby but that's what happens when you get your hair all tangled up." I said spraying her hair with some non-tangled hairspray.

Then my phone alarm went off. "10 minutes till school starts. Okay Jackie, we have to get ready for school now! You're gonna be late!" I put Jackie down on the floor and and we both ran to her room. I picked out her clothes and put her in it. I ran to the living room to grab her backpack and we left through the garage.

I drove as fast as I could but not to the point of going over the speed limit. "Mommy, am I gonna be late?" She asked me from her car seat. "No honey," I lied. Maybe we were, I wasn't sure. "We're gonna be fine. Don't worry." I saw the school and I pulled into the drop off section.

Then a bus came right in front of me, "Are you fu-------fudging kidding me!?" I didn't want to curse in front of my little angel because that would've been bad. I said stuff like fudge, shirt, heel, dang, etc. You understand. "Mommy, I can walk from here. My classroom is over there!" She pointed to where it was. I said okay and let her go.

I watched her walk safely to her classroom. Yeah, I'm one of those overprotective moms who look very carefully after their child. After all, she is my only one and I can't let anything bad happen to her.

After she got into her classroom, I left the school. Then I got a call from my love, "Hello?"
"Hey, are you coming home soon? I just got home." "Yeah I actually just dropped off Jackie." "What? Are you guys late?" "Eh, I'll tell you more about it when I get home." "Okay, bye my queen."

"Bye my--"

And the phone line cut off.
