Chapter 30

Jade's POV

"Jade.." A voice said coming from behind me. I turned around to find no one there. "Come here." The voice said again. This time, I knew that I was coming from the bright light that I was seeing. "Jade, I have a question for you." The voice said, becoming louder now. "Who are you?" "Jade, I'm your guardian angel. I'm here because I need to know, do you want to go back or stay here?"

"Go back where? To my life? To Perrie? To our life?..." "Yes, you have a choice. You don't have much time because we have to take you if you choose not to stay." "How much longer do I have?" "30 minutes, your heart has stop. After 30 minutes of not being able to be brought back, we take you to heaven."

"And Perrie?" "What about Perrie, love?" "If I go with you, will I be able to visit her?" "If she allows you to, there's a rule to the afterlife. You can just show up at your loved ones home. If they allow spirits into their home, then you are allowed to go." "I don't know. I want to go back but I want to stay here, it's so peaceful..it's so lovely."

"You have 25 minutes left to decide. If you don't stay, is there anything you would like to say to Perrie?" "I don't know..that I love her and I want her to be happy. That's all I want for her if I stay." I didn't know what to do or say, I want to be happy with or without me. "Guardian angel, are you still here?" I said looking around the hallway. "Yes, I'm still here. Have you been your decision?"

"Yes." I said slowly. "What's your decision, love? Are you staying here with me or are you leaving?" The angel was so sweet, kind, wonderful. Sure, she was indivisible and I couldn't see see her but I felt her warm presence. "I want to leave. I want to be with my love, she needs me and I need her." "This is your final decision?" She sounded concern. "Yes it is. I'm 100% sure." "Okay, it was very nice to meet you Jade."

Her voice faded out and I was being dragged back into reality. I opened up my eyes and everyone was staring at me. "Are you okay? How do you feel? What happened?" "I-I'm fine. I died.." "Yes you did, you—" "JADE!!" Perrie said, coming into view. "PERRIE!!" I said crying. She was hugging me tightly and I was hugging her tightly too. "Miss, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave the room."

"Why?" Perrie said, still hugging me with her eyes closed. "Because we have to make sure she's alright." "Can I sit in that chair? Next to the door? I won't bother anyone." The doctor thought about it for a few seconds, finally he said, "Fine. Just please don't cause any problems." She didn't say a word and shut her mouth.

She looked at me and smiled. It was so lovely to see her smile again and be happy.

I smiled back at her and my heart was beginning to fill up again with all the love and warmth I was getting from her vibe. Seeing her sad and falling apart was the most crushed I've ever seen her..after everything I've put her through..she still stood by me. She was strong with me and for me. I couldn't leave her to be like that, that's why I made my choice to stay here with her.

After everything...after I said no to her proposal..after I told her I was getting married to Luke...after I had died and had to make a choice to stay or leave..she was always there right next to me. She was my love, my life, my everything..

The doctor checked everything and asked me a few questions then left. He told me that I would be here for the next 2 weeks in case something else happens. "Are you okay with me staying here for an extra 2 weeks?" "Are you serious? Of course I am, as long as you get better..I'm okay with anything." I looked at this woman, I loved this woman. "I love you Perrie."

"I love you too Jade, I don't care how long it takes for you to get healed, I'll still be here with you." "I know you will."
