Chapter 23

Jade's POV

I looked at her. "What's wrong?" I said to her, she had her hands cupped together like she wanted to say something. "I just need to get this off my chest. Sorry to stop the wedding but this is really important." She looked at me. I nodded at her, telling her that it's okay for her to continue.

"I love Jade, I've always loved her. Seeing her be with Luke makes me the happiest. Also, seeing her with Luke makes me the saddest." "Perrie.." I said, shaking my head and pulling on her arm a bit. I took a deep breathe and continued. "It makes me the happiest because she's finally moved on and found someone who will love her.

Perrie's POV

It makes me the saddest because I know.." I looked up at everyone and they were staring at me. Jade's parents were looking at me and mouthing no. My parents were rolling their eyes and mouthing no. "Because I know that she'll never be mine again. That's right, Jade and I used to date. 1 year and 3 months, our relationship lasted for that long.

During that time, I did stupid things..really stupid things. She still loved me. She did stupid things, I still loved her. The day I asked her to marry me.." I stopped and looked at Luke. "She said no. I stopped believing in love because Jade was the one for me and I lost it. I lost the love..I loved the most." Still looking at Luke.

"When I lost her Luke, my world had crumbled. I'm sure her world crumbled too when we broke it off, but she has you now.  She's the happiest that she's ever been and I...I appreciate you. Please Luke, when I say this, I mean it. I want you to.." I said tearing up. "To take care of Jade. Make sure she doesn't get hurt, make sure she's always loved, make sure that she's safe in your arms when you come home at night.

I don't want you to hurt her like I did. I want you to take care of her and Jackie, for me please. I still love and it would mean a lot to if you did this for me." He looked at me back. I've never seen so much confusion in another persons eyes before. "I will. I'll take good care of her, I'll make sure that she's loved every single second, minute, hour of the day 24/7."

"Thank y--" "But I can't do that." Everyone was shocked. They all gasp and I heard a glass shattered in the near distance. "Luke, what are you doing?" Jade asked him. She was pleading him to stop. "I can't do this. Now that I know the secret, I can't stop thinking about you and Perrie together." "So what the hell are you saying right now?" Jade said, getting louder and on the verge of crying again.

"Jade.." He said. He took her hands and pulled her close and kissed her on the cheek. "I'm sorry but I can't marry you." We all saw Jade getting weaker on her legs. They were shaking and her arms were noodle-ly. "Jade? Jade, are you okay?" She turned to look at me. "Why?" I looked at her. "Why today? My-my wedding day. You ruined it! Perrie, today was supposed to be the most magical and special day of my ENTIRE life!!!!"

She said, shouting at me now. "Jade, I'm sorry. I can't help but to feel the way I feel for you!" "I don't care how you feel about me! I care about the way I feel about Luke and now it's NEVER going to happen! You ruined my second chance at being happy!" After she said that to me, I felt awful. I felt awful when I started talking but now I feel like dying.

She couldn't take the pressure anymore so she walked away from us, heading back to the dressing room. I looked at Leigh and Jesy and we all ran to the dressing room. "Jade!" I said, trying to open the door. "Guys, she locked it." I said, looking back at them. I began to cry harder in my hands. "Guys, I messed up. I really messed up. I knew I shouldn't have came today.." I ruined it.

I made the girl of my dreams angry at me and crying more on her wedding day and not for a good reason. What the hell is wrong with me?? "Pep, I got a plan." Jesy said. She pulled Leigh and I to a corner and told us, "Here's what we're going to do, Leigh is going to knock on the door and somehow get Jade to open up. Then when Jade opens up the door, Leigh and I will hold open to door long enough for you to get inside. Good idea?"

I nodded. "That could work. But what if she sees me?" "Then you're just gonna have to run fast. Can you do that Pez? Before I go over there." "I'm gonna have to try. I haven't ran since o graduated high school." Leigh laughed and she made her way over to Jade's door. It took a few minutes but she finally opened up. Jesy casually walked over there and started talking to Jade. Then they both got closer to the door. Jade was coming out to talk to them and she was still in her wedding dress.

She looked so beautiful. She began to pace back and forth and I couldn't help but to cry, I made her super upset. Everything is my fault! It's all my fault! Then Jade invited Jesy and Leigh in and they looked at us. Jesy signaled me to walk slowly and so I did. Jade was near the door so she couldn't see me. Leigh was holding the door knob and I walked closer.

3...2...1...

I ran in and Leigh held the door open and she closed it immediately. Jade turned around and she was surprised. "What the hell are you doing here? Get out!" I locked the door behind me and stood in front of it. I didn't say a single word. I just looked at the ground. "What are you still doing here? I said, get out!" She walked closer to me. She was finally in front of me and I went for it.

I kissed her.
