Chapter 13

Perrie's POV

Once I took my hand off of her hand, I regretted it really fast. Why did I do that? I can't show any signs that I want to get back together? Isn't that illegal when you break it off? (I'm joking.)

"Want to go in now?" I said. "Yeah definitely." She said smiling back at me. That made me smile. We never got to do this. I never got to do this. I never got to just get ice cream and spend some time with another person. It was always in a rush. My parents only got me ice cream and I would eat it in the car. We would never spend time with each other because they were always busy.

"Hi! Welcome to Baskin Robbins! What can I get for you today?" The employer asked. "Ehm, can I get a double scoop of cookies and cream please?" "Sure thing! And for you, miss?" "I'll just have a cherry scoop, one scoop, in a bowl please?" "Alright! One double scoop cookies and cream and one cherry scoop in a bowl. That would be $5.45." I offered to pay since she was the one who got me out of the house in the first place.

"Thanks Perrie, for paying." "Oh yeah, you're welcome! I'm happy to help out." I said, while taking my money out. I gave him the money and we went outside to sit in the chairs. "So..how's life?" I said, while taking a scoop of my ice cream. "Um, it's okay. I guess, you know Jackie..my daughter. I keep having this feeling that I'm gonna lose her somehow." "You love her right?" She looked me.

"I sure as hell do. Why?" "Then never let her go. Always love her no matter what and you'll never lose her. Sorry, it's just a heavy thing to talk about right now." She looked at me in a weird way but at the same time, I understood what she meant.

30 minutes later

"Thanks for dropping me off back at home. Today was a good day, thanks again Jade." I said to her, before closing her door. "Yeah it was. I'm glad you came long instead of bailing on me." She said smiling. "I guess I'll see you sometime in the future." I said to her, she nodded her head and drove off. I walked back to my parents place and unlocked the door.

"Perrie." I heard someone say behind my back. I turned around to see who it was and to my surprise, I wasn't surprised. "Zayn, what do you want? More sugar?" "No. I just want to talk." "Talk about what? The rent money? Your child?" Speaking of child, Zayn also had a child. His name is Jayden.

How do I know this? A while ago when Jade rejected my proposal, I was walking back to my parents house because I didn't want to go back to my home. I bumped into Zayn and he was also crying. Long story short, he told me about is child and about how his girlfriend left him because she didn't want to deal with the responsibility of a child.

I felt bad for him because now he has to deal with a child all alone. I didn't have a child so I wouldn't know what that felt like.

"No, Jayden just wanted to say hi." I saw Jayden come out from behind his back and wave hi. "Hi Perrie." He said. "Hey Jayden, how are you?" He didn't say a word. "His mostly quiet when he meets people he hasn't seen in a while.

"Also, have you thought about it?" Zayn asked me. "Um.."
