“Eve? Are you there?” I asked over the phone. Eve did not talk for a few, but I was able to hear her as she breath within the phone. I was worried at first, but she responded back.
“Yeah. It’s that I met a cambion once, but…”
“Yes?”
“I haven’t seen her for eighteen years. I doubt she is even alive.” Figures that Eve is much older than I am. But that wasn’t what I found important as we discussed about the cambion. “Her names was actually similar to yours! It’s Eva.”
Eva? Why does that name sound very familiar? That name appeared in my mind, but its hurts when I think about it. I felt as if I heard that name before, but my memories rejected the remembrance of the name; I guess that was a reason why my head was in pain. Who is Eva?
“Luckily, she was pregnant with a baby, before she left. That is our only lead for now…” Eve said as she let out a hopeless sigh. Then suddenly her tone changed when she realized something. “How do you know all of this?!”
“Research. Also, I met this strange man that knew all about killing War which I found very mysterious…”
“Research, you meant the bible you touched.” Eve said in a sarcastic voice, but she was still curious about what I was.
“Yes, the bible I have touched, BUT that is not important right now, do you know about the man in the hood?” Eve must have known something about a hooded man.
“There many hooded people in this city…” Eve said as if I was simple-minded.
“It was a man in a black hood with so much chains on him! What really scared me about him was the petals he stepped on, in a graveyard, which caused the blossoms to die, instantly! Strange, right?”
“…Are you sure? That sounds like someone I know, someone that we do not want to mess with.” Her tone scared me because she knew about the hooded man, which caused her voice to show a panic tone to it.
“Who is it? Who is that man, Eve?!” I asked, alarmed.
“I’m not sure, because I do not want to jump into conclusion. Deva, where have you met this man?”
“At the graveyard?”
“Then meet me there at night, he must be there…” I wondered what was inside Eve’s mind when I mentioned the man. He was mysterious when I met him in the graveyard.
I have left the apartment at night to find Eve in the graveyard, but I wondered a bit. The air was cold, but nice. I never mind the cold in the air, it kept me comfortable. The moon was brightly lite, as it pierced through the dark clouds.
I continue along this dark place that was under a bridge. It was a construction site; I assumed it was to build a statue of Saya. Strange, I felt as if Fiora is now in charge of everything as she made Saya look weak with all of the changes that occurred, such as the cancelation of The Purging for a while. But as I walked under the bridge, I wondered about Saya.
Confusion was quite common in this city, I think the others noticed her behavior, but I felt the change, in front of my eyes as she warned me about The Purging, but it is cancelled.
“Now why would she let Fiora take charge?” Then suddenly I turned around and noticed her behind me. “Lady Saya?”
“What are you doing in this time of hour?” She whispered, without a hostile tone. She had this long overcoat that was black, it also had a symbol of the wind.
“I can’t sleep…” I mumbled under my breath, but she did not move.
“Sure you are! You don’t have to be scared of me, because I know what you and Eve are up to.” She was serious. I turned my head as I raised my eyebrows in shock that she knew; does she? “I know you are going to find de…” Suddenly she stopped.
“Look, if you are going to do something to me, just get it over with!” I pulled out my dagger that was in my pocket. I was afraid, trenched in fear that Saya lived under Fiora shadow, with so much knowledge about everything. I could not trust Saya because she is an antichrist, who killed my people.
“I’m surprised that you are acting like this now, and not on the beach.” She calmed, urgently.
“Oh! Can you blame me?! You’re that god-damn massager of hell!” I backed away from her, but she shook her head.
“Look. I came to tell you that you should be careful about the hooded man, especially when Eve is around that man, she might want to know something she do not want to know…” she said, but she left before I can even say a word.
