A power built for conquest was quite intriguing to me. I closed and opened both of my hands, slowly. I felt a feeling that made me feel great, as if I was elated by a plant that relaxes someone. My eyes could see much further than a hawk. I felt stronger and much faster.

“How’s it feel?” Conquest asked.

“Like a god.” I said as I stood up and lifted my head towards the dark clouds. Slowly, I lifted my arms towards the sky and opened up my hands. Suddenly, I slowly dropped my arms and stared at my palms and saw Conquest’s mark. “What is this?”

“You’re Conquest now.”

I looked at her and noticed that she looked a bit different. She gained more color than before. Her true colors were just like my, dark hair and less pale. Her hair was the same length. I could see more strange of hair as it dances within the cold air.

“I’m Conquest?” I said with my eyebrows frozen upwards.

My hair didn’t change into hers, but the way my body felt have changed. I felt as if I can face against War. I’ve become more than just a half-demon, and maybe I’ve lost my humanity, but it was a small price to pay if I wanted to achieve victory in Delaxy.

“Once you engage War, you’ll be able to match her with your own horse, but be warn, power can corrupt.” Conquest stood on her feet. In her eyes, I saw so much regret.

“I just want to free the people from the tranny of Lady Fiora…”

We both stared at the dark sky. My feet swung back and forth on the ledge of the building, like a child on a high chair.

“Why would I want more power? No use once I’ve achieve victory.”

“For now, your mind is focused on the liberation of your people, but once you liberate Delaxy from evil, it will need a new leader. A new leader will be the raise of a new evil…a new corruption” She said as she slowly walked away from me.

“What do you mean by that?” I was over obsessed of what she just said that I quickly threw my arms out and tried to grab her shoulders, but I was too slow. She looked back at me, smiled, and suddenly disappeared and left me with an unanswered question.

I stood in front of a huge table with the leaders of my army, my mother’s garrison. On the table was a huge map of Delaxy with Fiora’s tower, right in the middle of it.

The sector of the city that we were in was west-south from the main sector of Delaxy.

“You just want a full-on assault?” Kira said as she stood the opposite direction from me and next to Minerva, who just stood quiet as she stared at the map.

“No. It was a huge fail when I tried the first time. Even though it was a success, one of my men took on his own agenda and took extreme measures. It upset our main target and so a second full-on assault will be too risky.”

Minerva shook her head as she remembered that day. She watched from afar when I engaged Fiora from outside. She watched as Eve got shot.

“You see how the tower is in the center of a district?” I asked everyone that surrounded me. They all leaned forward and saw that each of the districts circled around the tower. “I want an assault that applied pressure in each direction.”

“But what if one of us struggles to push forward?” A man by the name of Leon asked.

“It’s guarantee that a group will struggle, but that is where most of the forces will defend. If necessary, in the midst of defeat, you are urged to send a signal to each of the squads to rotate by using flares.”
