A few months have passed by since I began to train the people of my mother’s garrison. Everyone have approved in their training. Everybody became strong with their ambitious. They’ve found power within their lost hearts and learn how to manifest it. Power was what I wanted to teach them.
“Pain is your weakness that left your body. Which means that the more pain you feel and inflict, it means more strength.” I said as I placed my palm on a girl’s head as she bow her head to me. I walked pass the center of the church silently, while most of MY people bowed their heads to me.
“Seem like this power got inside your head,” Minerva said as she rested her right shoulder on the door to the front exist. “It will destroy you.”
“Doesn’t hurt to feel like a sovereign for once.” I replied back while I turned my head against Minerva. She stood there as she shook her head to the left and then to the right. She was disappointed in me, but I didn’t care.
Suddenly, someone from behind me bumped into me. “Sorry-…” A familiar voice sounded from behind my left ear. I turned around and noticed it was Kira.
“Deva? You look…different.” Kira said as she lean her head towards her right as she examine my head.
“Yeah. My hair kind of grew a lot to the point that some strands of hair began to curve upward…”
“It looks spiky to me!” Kira laughed as I grabbed my hair with my right hand out of embarrassment.
My mind wondered back to the power I had. These people came to respect me as if I was my mother. They were willing to fight for my cause but I only seek to use them for my plan. With my idea, I could change the fate of Delaxy, but there was one spike on the road to make my idea come true.
“You really think your idea will work? To liberate Delaxy?” Minerva had her doubts and Kira wasn’t too sure that we can handle demons.
I sighed as I crossed my arms. “I do, but…” It bothered me to say that Paradigma’s refusal to answer my question, a month ago, prevented my plan for liberation to commence because of the spell that surrounded this city. What are these people? Are they human or not?
As everyone left, I beckoned Kira with my left pointer to follow me outside and away from everyone. “I need to ask you something?” She judged my cold and still face and figured I was about to ask a serious question.
“I guess.”
I paused for a second as I shifted my eyes away from her and onto the view of the church I’ve found in the area near the church. Then, when I was ready, I asked her the question I wanted to ask Paradigma. “What are you?” My question stunned her, but she didn’t look nervous. She didn’t look like I’ve caught her red-handed with something.
“What am I? What do you mean?” Kira replied as she gave me the risen eyebrow look.
“I meant, what ARE you? Are you human or not?” I admit that I was a little straight forward with the question, but I needed to know.
“Oh! Wait, why are you asking such a strange question? Of course I’m human and so as everyone else, but-…”
“But what?” I eagerly said when I leaned forward as if she was going to tell me a secret.
“I don’t think the other Deva is human. How is it possible for her to cross into Delaxy and back to here to deliver us news?” She grabbed her chin, slide her pointer up to her cheek, and began to think deeply.
Deva Paradigma isn’t human? So if she was the only one fetching them the news then I’m going to have a huge problem with the movement of my army into Delaxy. They were all humans who cannot cross through the spell.
