Mark's POV
Jack has been shaking uncontrollably for like the last five minutes and I am getting increasingly concerned. That syrum is doing something really freaky to him and I don't like it. I have just been sitting here the whole time trying to stop him from shaking to no avail...
I stand corrected... He just suddenly stopped shaking. He is completely still. I have to keep checking his pulse to make sure he is still alive.
"Boo!" He yelled.
"HOLY F*CKING SH*T WHAT THE F*CK D*MN IT!" I screamed and jumped up like five feet in the air because he scared the absolute sh*t out of me. "WHAT THE F*CK WAS THAT FOR?!"
He say up and started laughing hysterically at me because of my reaction. "Okay, but seriously, that was weird" Jack said referring to what he had just witnessed before he scared me.

He told me about the whole thing. It is apparent to both I us that the reason Fall is so evil is because she wanted to get back at those who killed her sister, but she got too blood thirsty and is now just a full time murderer. Also, since the syrum made Fall able to steal powers from the dead, we assume that since Jack had the same syrum, he can too. Now we just need a way to defeat Fall since she already has like twenty different powers.

"Mark?"
"Hmm?"
"I might have an idea..."
"Go on."
"What if I teleported to where we fought all those warriors like a week and a half ago and retrieve all the powers left by all those who died?"
"Sounds like a plan. Can I come with?"
"Absolutely"

Jack grabbed my arm and teleported both of us to that room. No one was there because it was still all messed up, but it's not like they used it for what they had previously anyway. I sat down on one of the still intact benches and watched as Jack stood firmly in the center of the room, closed his eyes, and put out his arms. His body was slowly covered in all shades of green from the brightest lime color to the darkest forest color. It was absolutely amazing. Then different colored whisps of smoke emerged and collected in his hands. It was made into one big colorful ball of smoke, then Jack compressed it in his hands until it shot out in beams of light so bright and dense with color that they lit up the whole room. The beams of light bounced around a bit and then collected around him again, being absorbed into his chest.

"That was incredible!" I yelled to him enthusiastically.
"Thanks! I wasn't sure it was going to work..." He trailed off. "I hear someone. Shhhh" he closed his eyes and tried to listen more closely. "Come here, we need to go" we teleported back and Jack took a deep breath.

"So what are the new powers?" I asked, sincerely curious.
"Uh, I'm a little tired at the moment, so I won't try them all, but..." He looked at his arm as it slowly disappeared. He brought it back and then looked at me. "Well, I have weak invisibility, that's a start." He concentrated more on me, making me lift off of the ground. I hovered for a moment, then came back down. "And strong levitation. Cool!"
"As long as you don't do that again, I'm okay with it." I said, slightly scared of what he could do.

As Jack went to sorta the other side of the room to rest for a moment, I thought about what Fall said earlier... Jack's natural septic level is 98.9%. That's a scary percentage. I know that he is on my side, but if he changed like Fall and used his power for evil, the world would be doomed... Especially with this new ability he has.
I wonder what Fall's natural septic level is.
Jack came over to me and tapped me on the shoulder.
"Yeah, Jack?" I acknowledged
"It's getting late, so we should probably find a place to sleep. This whole corridor seems deserted, so I think we can probably roam at our own leisure."
"Okay, sounds like a good idea"

We left the room and started some late night exploring of this abandoned hallway. We checked every room, just looking for supplies that might be useful and a place to sleep. Eventually, we found a storage closet and a spare room. We decided to make our room as home-like as possible because chances are, we will be hiding out here for more than one day, trying to figure this crap out.
The storage room conveniently and ironically had everything we needed for a bedroom type room. However, I'm pretty sure that's because there is an old sleeping quarters room down the hall, but there were no beds left in there, so we took advantage of the spare room right next to the storage. We first found a bed frame and a toolbox and had a contest between the two of us about who could build it better and quicker. I won, obviously.
Then we put the inflatable mattress on the bed frame and put sheets on it. There were a couple pillows and a duvet in the storage, So we put those on too. Last but not least, Jack made the room home-like by making side tables and putting lamps on either side of the bed.
"Mark?" Jack asked.
"Yeah?"
"It's not, like, weird that we have to share the bed, right?" Jack asked with an adorable concerned face.
"Nah. First of all, it was the only mattress in the storage room, so unless you want to sleep on the floor, then this is what we have. And second, I think that we are close enough friends that we can share a bed and not make it weird." I protested.
"Okay" he said and we both jumped into the bed, almost immediately falling asleep.
