I was overly paranoid all weekend.

I didn't once open my blinds, for fear of Scotty seeing me. I stayed in the house all weekend for the same reason.

Even though I literally had no reason to be paranoid.

Except for the fact that I purposely ignored his friend who was one of hottest boys in school.

And I argued against his other friend, the toughest boy in school.

Okay maybe I have a few reasons to be paranoid.

But what would he do to me? Make life hell for me? He should meet my parents then he'd know my life is already hell.

Somehow on Monday morning I had forgotten all about it, leaving the house perfectly fine and catching the bus to school.

When I got to homeroom, I sat down and began to review my notes for Chemistry, my next class, when Heath and Zane walked in.

"Morning Holt" Zane said, greeting me the way he did every morning since learning my name.

"Allie" Heath said and I didn't respond.

"Don't we get a good morning back?" Zane asked in a fake nice voice.

"Shh, studying. Pop quiz" I muttered, not taking my eyes off my paper.

"You probably already know it all" Heath said and I shrugged, still not giving into them. They wanted me to react, to look at them, to speak to them. But I wanted to get to Chemistry and take this quiz.

Amazingly, the two of them left me alone and I was free to study.

Although, of course it was short lived as Heath leaned over.

"Psst, got any spare Algebra notes?" He whispered.

"I'm busy" I muttered, my eyebrows furrowing as I tried to remember all the things I knew I already knew.

"I just wanted some notes" He huffed and I rolled my eyes, not looking at him.

When I placed my things back in my binder, Zane smirked.

"Done?" He asked.

"Homeroom is" I said, at the almost exact point the bell went. I had them timed to my watch for reasons like this.

Zane and Heath looked at me like I was possesed or something. They hadn't even began to pack up their things and I was already out the door.

I walked into my Chem class, not thinking anything would be out of place. So you can imagine the surprise on my face when I walked into my Chemistry class and saw David Dobrik sitting where my Chemistry partner should have been. I shook it off. It must be a coincidence.

I simply took my seat and faced the front, waiting for the class to start.

"We haven't been formally introduced. I'm David. David Dobrik" He said, holding his hand out.

"I'm not interested" I said honestly.

"I just wanted to know the girl I'll be sitting next to for a whole semester" He said innocently.

"Alissa Holt." I said, looking at him. He flashed a smile and I noticed he was chewing gum and wearing a hat in class. From what I had noticed, he was always wearing a hat on top of his mop of dark wavy hair.

"Pleasure to meet you" He said, with a look that made me uncomfortable.

"Thanks" I said awkwardly, turning back to the front of the class. Mr Johnson should be here soon. Although apparently not soon enough.
