*TIME JUMP:ONE WEEK*

"I'm so ready for this appointment" I said, walking away from the gym with Zane and Todd behind me. And the appointment I was referring to was to get the cast off of my left arm, from when Zane broke it.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that" He said sheepishly and I shrugged.

"I'm seeing everything as a positive Hijazi. You didn't break my arm, my brother never would have covered for me. Had that never happened, I would have never left my house that night and never gotten with Heath" I said and Todd pretended to gag.

"Oh fuck off, nothing like that happened." I said, shoving him out of my way as Heath and David began to walk with us, the five of us heading for the parking lot.

After Heath and I's last reality check, this had been the norm. I talked to Todd and apologised, him shrugging it off but then apologising too. I moved into Shane's room and stopped having nightmares at Heath's place. I never even heard from my parents in regards to us taking all my stuff, not surprising me but definitely stinging a little.

And, in just one week, I had lifted everyone's spirits in regards to graduating, as well as lifted Todd's GPA by helping him on his huge English assignment.

"Hey baby, you ready to get rid of this?" Heath asked, grabbing my cast and I nodded.

"I nearly let Todd cut it off me in Photography, I'm ready for it to go for sure." I said as he snaked his left hand into my right one, the parking lot coming into view soon after.

A high pitched fake sounding laugh hit all of our ears and we all turned to find Gabbie Hanna walking and laughing with some new guy, something she could now get away with seeing as 'The Boys' didn't have much of an edge anymore. I mean, they'd definitely still beat up anyone who threatened that but Gabbie knew Zane wasn't going to risk anything now that people were beginning to see him as not a monster.

I looked to Heath who shrugged at me.

"Say something" I whispered.

"What do I say?" He whispered back.

"Heath, he's your best friend" I whispered and he sighed.

"Zane" He said, Zane turning to him.

"You good?" He asked and Zane nodded.

"Yeah, fuck her." He said with a shrug.

"I've gotta help Scotty study this afternoon after my appointment, invite him over to hang out" I whispered and Heath rolled his eyes.

"Come over and hang out seeing as my annoying girlfriend won't be there" Heath said, the 'annoying girlfriend' part through gritted teeth. Zane smiled slightly with a small nod.

"Sure, whatever" He said as I let go of Heath's hand, Scotty walking over to us.

"You'd better not be late this afternoon Sire, my appointment is in like ten minutes and I'll be straight there" I joke-threatened, his eye roll making me laugh.

"Whatever Holt, hurry up or you'll be late" He said and I took that opportunity to leave.

It's been a week and Scott's still acting weird. But none of the guys will acknowledge it either, it's weird. Today was the first time I was able to tutor him so maybe I'll ask him. Even though I knew I'd just push him and he'd leave or something.

As I drove out of the gates, my eyes met with Elton's. He had been staring at me a lot this last week. On Tuesday he almost spoke to me but as he opened his mouth the bell had gone for last period and he had run off to his English class.
