67. Unexpected Hero

Hi guys, just a quick note. Consider it another early present :)

When I say I'm updating on the 14th, that means New Zealand time so really most of you will be getting the first daily update on the 13th and your last one will be the 24th. So there are still 12 daily updates, they'll just start early for y'all living in America, Canada and the UK :D

After school, I met Zane at my car and we proceeded to drive across town to the place. But something wasn't right about what was happening.

I noticed a white car pull out of the school parking lot behind me but they were still following us and it had been five minutes now.

"Zane? Do you know who's driving that white car? They've been following us since school" I said, eyebrows furrowed. Zane turned and looked, turning back with a shrug.

"Never seen it before. They're probably thinking it's weird that this Mustang in front of them is going exactly where they need to" He said, in an attempt to make a joke and lighten the mood. Which I'll admit got me shaking my head and smiling.

"God, you're an idiot" I muttered as Zane shrugged with a grin.

"That's why I'm getting tutored!" He pointed out and I laughed yet again.

The laughter was short lived because after a few more turns, the place approaching, I noticed the white car still following us.

"Relax Holt, they're not following us." Zane said as I pulled into the final street, just before the car park at the place.

"Sure about that?" I asked as the white car, as I expected, followed us into the park.

"What the fuck?" Zane whispered, pulling out his phone.

"Dude, I don't know where you are or what you're doing but someone just followed us to the place in their car. Get here as soon as you can" He said, hanging up.

"Who'd you call?" I asked.

"Who do you think? Resident knight in shining armour, Scotty Sire" He said. I nodded as Zane reached over and locked my doors.

"Zane?" I asked and he shushed me.

"I don't want to risk you getting hurt." He whispered. I nodded, shuddering slightly as we both sat and waited in an otherwise silent atmosphere.

After about five minutes a hooded figure climbed out of the car, walking closer to my car. They tried the drivers door and then without any warning punched my window.

As glass flew, I screamed and hid my face.

Holy shit what was going on?

The door was unlocked and opened and I was dragged out. Zane had climbed out his door and was running to the guy but he had already dragged me away from Zane enough to throw me against a wall.

I heard a chuckle as a fist hit my stomach a few times.

"What did I tell you about being naive, Alissa?" The voice said.

ELTON:

I was near Alissa's old house when I saw Scotty run out and into his driveway.

"I'm going mom! You can't fucking stop me" His voice said angrily.

"You want to test me right now? I'm serious Scott. You're staying here" She said.
