6. You Just Wait

"What happened in your classes? You're the talk of the entire school!" Elton hissed at me when I sat in the cafeteria.

"Nothing! Nothing out of the ordinary anyway. What do the rumours say?" I asked and he sighed, looking at me with a serious look.

"That you called Todd Smith an a-hole. And told him to go eff himself" He said and I smiled at his innocence, not wanting to cuss.

"I called him and asshole and told him to go fuck himself. Nothing PC." I said and he groaned.

"Alissa! You're going to get yourself killed" He said and I laughed.

"I'm going to be fine. I always have a few tricks up my sleeve" I said.

"So it doesn't bother you that everyone is constantly looking at you and laughing at you?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Should it?" I asked and he laughed, shaking his head at me.

"You're right, I should never under estimate you" He said and I smiled, pretending to bow.

"Thank you, I'm here all year. Unfortunately" I said, the last part said with an eye roll.

"What do you have last? Where should we meet to walk home?" He asked.

"I have Gym last, what about you?" I asked.

"You're taking Gym?" He asked and I shrugged.

"I enjoy athletic activities! I'm not a complete nerd." I said with a laugh and he laughed too.

"What kind are you taking? Normal or Advanced?" He asked.

"Advanced" I admitted.

"There are like four other girls in that class! You're nuts." He said.

"I like to run, okay" I defended and he laughed a little.

"That's right, don't underestimate. I've got English. I'll meet you in the courtyard?" He suggested and I nodded.

"Sounds good." I said, going to my food. If you could call it that.

"Are any of them in your gym class?" Elton asked, almost reading my mind.

"Yeah Zane and Todd" I groaned. They had transferred in on Thursday last week. Thankfully Gym was only twice a week on Tuesday's and Thursday's

"They're in a lot of your classes" Elton pointed out and I shrugged. I mean I guess I never really thought about it until now.

"Wait, pass me your schedule" He said and I did, him taking out a blank piece of paper.

"Okay so Todd and Heath are in your art class?" He asked and I nodded as he scribbled something.

"And David's in Chem and Scotty's in Bio" He commented, still scribbling.

"Zane and Todd are in gym, Todd's in photography. Zane and Heath are in your homeroom. What about Algebra?" He asked as I sighed, annoyed with the questions.

"Scott and Heath" I mentioned.

"And English?" He asked again, me gulping in realisation.

"Scott and David" I said cautiously.

"Alissa they're in every single one of your classes!" Elton exclaimed.

"That has to be a coincidence" I said and Elton shook his head.

"After you argued with Zane and then the rest of them, then they appeared in all of your classes within a week? That's no coincidence. They did it on purpose" Elton said.
