"hey, jisoo." the cyclist said as she turned off the engine and took off her helmet.

"h-hi, jennie." i replied nervously.

"what are you two doing?" she asked.

"waiting for the bus?" i answered her obvious question.

"why wait for the bus when you can ride on my motorcycle?" she smirked and raised and eyebrow.

"what?"

"do you want me to drop you off at your place?"

"umm..." i turned to look at my best friend who was nodding crazily. "sorry, i can't leave my best friend all alone..." i gave her an apologetic smile.

"silly, i meant i would drop you off and lisa would drop your pretty friend at her house."

"oh..."

"so, what's your answer, princess?"

"uh... i--"

"yes, her answer is yes." chaeyoung answered for me instead and lisa giggled.

"alright, give us your addresses and hold on tight." lisa said and the two cyclists went to grab a spare helmet each from an attachment on their bike and handed them to us. meanwhile, i had texted jennie my address while chaeyoung had done the same to lisa. that meant we had each other's phone numbers and that was the jackpot for my best friend.

my left leg swung over the bike and i sat down on the backseat, wrapping my arms around jennie's waist after putting the black helmet on. the next thing i knew, we were zooming off on the open road. we didn't speak during the ride and we wouldn't have been able to head each other anyway, but this dangerous trip felt sort of relaxing.

once we were in front of my two-story house, i climbed off jennie's black bike. "thank you for the ride," i said as i took off the helmet and bowed slightly.

"it's nothing," jennie bowed back and smiled again. "i was wondering. since i kinda gave you favor this morning in spanish class, could you give me something in return?"

i hadn't expected the girl to ask me anything in return because she had everything she wanted, but i didn't mind. "uh, sure. what is it?"

"well, my family has this thing saturday... well, tomorrow and it's some business dinner with some of their colleagues. lisa is busy and i was wondering if you'd like to come so i won't be alone." she said bluntly.

"i don't know..." as tempting as dinner with THE jennie kim sounded, i didn't do well with social situations and a dinner with many official people sounded both boring and intimidating.

"you won't have to talk to the people there or anything. we'll just stay together and hang out or something." she explained and in a matter of seconds, her cool façade was down. her face was covered with adorable pleading eyes and a slight pout.
