"mino?! what are you doing here?" i grinned and hugged the tall guy.

"my family and i just moved back to seoul a few days ago. we moved and i wanted to come see you first!"

"aw, you're so sweet! i'm really glad you're back."

"i'm glad too and guess what? we're gonna see each other more often because i'm going to yg high just like you."

"really?! daebak! did you already get your school stuff or you're going tomorrow?"

"i have my schedule and most of my books already, but i'm getting the rest tomorrow. i have my schedule in my backpack though.

"ooh, let's compare our schedules then!"

"we have so many classes together!" he said and grinned.

i was about to reply when i was interrupted by the sound of a roaring motorcycle engine. i searched for the source and recognized the cyclist.

jennie kim. what was she doing here?

she parked in front of my house and took off her helmet. she looked worried at first, but then pissed when her eyes darted to what i assume was mino. "you left me on read," was the first thing jennie said to me.

"and you came all the way here to tell me that?"

"no, i thought you might've been in danger or something. so, i came here to make sure you were okay."

"you are crazy for doing that, jennie kim." i laughed, but felt happy knowing she cared that much about my safety. "as you can see, i'm fine. i just had a guest over. this is song minho, but he goes by mino. mino's going to attend yg high just like us. mino, this is jennie kim, she's the school's badass and the biggest flirt."

"nice to meet you, jennie." mino said as he held his hand out.

"so i get a side chick and you freak out, but you get a side dude and it's okay?" jennie asked me and didn't shake mino's hand.

"i'm your side what?" mino turned to me with wide eyes.

i was just as surprised hearing jennie say that, but decided to use this to my advantage. jennie's voice sucked at hiding her jealousy. huh, jealous jennie, i like the sound of that. "yeah, mino's my childhood friend." i held mino's hand and rested my head on his shoulder. "we had a thing before, but now, there are no more feelings involved."

jennie narrowed her eyes at mino and nodded slowly. "right, well, i won't bother you two. see you tomorrow mino. as for you," she turned to me, "i'll have to talk to you later."

"bye jennie." i smiled and watched jennie walk away. once she was gone, i let go of mino.

"what the hell was that, kim jisoo?!"

"i'm so sorry, mino!" i said and started to explain my situation with jennie. how she claimed i was her girlfriend and how she wouldn't let it go. i also told him about her 'side chick'. "so, when i saw how jealous she was when she saw me with you, i decided to play around a little. i'm really sorry, mino."

"huh, playing the player." he said and i nodded. "sounds fun, i'm in."

"really?"

"yeah. why not? i'm new at yg high and that makes me more mysterious." he chuckled.

"you're the best, mino!"

"you know it!"

"babe?" another voice suddenly said.

we both turned around and saw my younger brother, taehyun walking back home, well running now. see, the thing was mino wasn't only my childhood friend, but he was also my brother's boyfriend. so there was no worry of him falling for me or me falling for him. the only problem was that i had to pretend to date my brother's boyfriend... how was i suppose to break the news to him?

*the next day*

"okay."

"okay?" i asked. "you're fine with me pretending to date your boyfriend?"

taehyun nodded. "i trust him. i trust you. you both said it was just to prank jennie kim so there shouldn't be anything to worry about."

"have i ever told you how much i love you?"

"yeah, but you haven't told me how awesome i am."

"don't push it tae."

"meh, i tried."
