what was bobby doing here? what did he mean by before jennie came around? did they know each other before?

"leave us alone." jennie said sternly and held my hand.

bobby scoffed and raised an eyebrow. "so you two really are a thing now, huh?"

jennie bit her lip and looked lost, as if she didn't know what to say and i knew why. "yes, we are." i spoke up this time. i knew jennie had hesitated because last time this question popped up, things got all kinds of fucked up between us.

"should've known you were gonna make her your bitch. you always go for sweet innocent girls. didn't think you'd be game to bring her here though."

"she's not my bitch." jenny hissed. "she's--" she looked back at me.

"we're dating." i said, this time.

"don't get fooled jisoo. jennie might make you think you're dating, but she doesn't actually do dates. she's only gonna stay with you for the time being and once you bore her, she'll be gone." bobby retorted with a smug smile.

i know it shouldn't have, but his words hurt me more than i anticipated. i mean he was partly right. jennie didn't date people, at least not before. however, she was doing a prettt good job so far at this whole dating thing. either that, or she was a great actress and was very patient because we still hadn't slept together.

jennie pulled me out of my thoughts when she pulled me closer. "just shut up. we're dating. get over it. i got my girl back and you won't ever be able to even lay a finger on her ever again."

"oh, i'm not here to flirt with 'your jisoo' as you said."

"then, what do you want?" jennie asked and rolled her eyes.

"i'm simly here to wish you good luck. good luck before you lose miserably to me." bobby answered and smirked. "be prepared to pay for revenge."

"revenge? for what?" jennie asked.

"well, firstly for my mechanic, but mostly for taking jisoo from me."

"she didn't take me from you, bobby. you were just being an absolute trash of a boyfriend. i would've left you anyways after what happened that night."

bobby huffed and glared at us. "whatever. make sure you have your last little lovey dovey moments before we race. wouldn't want to die and not let her know that you 'love her'. so are you up for the race? or are you too scared?"

"bring it on, bobby." jennie replied with her confident face on.
