"jennie, are you sure you want to do this?" i asked her one last time before she got in her car.

"relax, i'll be fine." she said and kissed my cheek and sat down in the driver's seat of her grey vehicle. i sighed and nodded, backing away to let her close the door. "kiss good luck?" she asked and earned herself a chuckle before i leaned in and kissed her cheek.

"be safe, jennie."

"always." she grinned. "don't forget about our little deal." she added and winked.

it was a fairly simple race. we were in the outskirts of seoul, but the two racers would speed their way around the heart of the city. it would take no longer than 5 minutes. 5 shorts minutes and the pair would make it back to the finish line, which was also their starting point.

that was what was suppose to happen.

we all waited patiently to see which car would appear first, but after 10 minutes, there was still no sign of anyone showing up any time soon. that was when i started to worry. okay, that was a lie. i was constantly worried when i knew that jennie went to events like this one, but this feeling i had was a little different.

there was this uncomfortable tug in my heart telling me that something was off. the sight of people starting to chatter up about what was happening was a clear indication that i was right.

i had no idea who to ask what was going on. so, i figured i could ask the first person close to me. i turned to my left and surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) found a familiar face. nayeon. she seemed to be leaving. i hurried and walked towards her before she really was gone.

"nayeon, what's happening?" i immediately asked.

"jisoo?" she looked a me wide-eyed. "shit."

"what?"

"you need to come with me. right now."

"why?"

"i'll explain in the car later. if you want to see jennie, you better hurry and get in with jeongyeon."

without asking, i did as she said and got in jeongyeon's car. "someone please explain what is going on and where we are heading."

"jennie's car collided with bobby's. they're heading to the hospital and that's where we are going now."
