Dancing Shoes (Part Dos)

I arrive for the performance and I see the janitor cleaning up the pathways for the people to take their seats when they arrive. There are already empty, dented soda cans as if someone had a party here before I got here.

I walk backstage and get dressed in my flouncy tutu outfit. Mine isn't the standard light pink, though; mine is a deep, midnight purple.

I finish almost getting ready by pulling on my dark violet ballet shoes and waltzing onstage.

I stare at the empty seats in front of me. Just think.... There will be over five hundred people in that audience. In fact, Justice hasn't even arrived yet. She said she'd be here later, ten minutes before the time it starts, I think.

I just hope that I don't embarrass myself with a wrong step or a broken jump.

No wait, don't think about that.

Carefully tying my blindfold over my eyes, letting the world around me go dark, I lift my leg into the air, mimicking my movements for the performance by pure memory. Before long, I'm gliding across the stage, working up a sweat before anyone other than the janitor knows that I'm here.

I complete my entire routine before the performance is even near to starting, leaning over, bending at the knees to catch my breath.

Then I hear clapping.

I quickly untie my blindfold and spin around, almost falling off the front end of the stage.

The clapping continues, obviously coming from a short, green-haired man with firm hands, coming together very loudly.

"Marvelous," he spoke with an adorable Irish accent. I did my hardest not to swoon at his very existence.

"T-Thank you," I struggled at the task of forming words in front of this sweet man who seemed to be very interested in my dancing.

"How did you learn to dance like that?" He continues, stepping closer to the stage and thus, closer to me.

I feel my cheeks begin to burn, "Y-Years of practice, s-sir."

"Please," he raises one callused hand, "Don't call me sir, call me Sean."

"O-Okay, Sean."

"There, now that introductions are out of the way...."

Then he said those fated words that would change my life forever.

"......How would you like to be a part of my dancing productions?"

Until next time..... *wink*
