(^^^^^ LOOK AT THE AWESOME THING I MADE FOR THIS CHAPTER!!!! ^^^^^)

I sat down at my computer, turning it on. It boots up with a slow purr.

My boyfriend, Jack lives in Ireland while I live here in small town, USA. He's so sweet, he's told me that I sound cute. But to be honest, we haven't seen what one another looks like. He's told me that he dyes his hair sometimes, but he hasn't said what color. And with my ugly appearance, I doubt he'll still be interested once he sees me.....

Instinctively, I walk to the nearest mirror and examine myself.

My tussled brown hair hangs in a side braid with a purple hair tie keeping it tight. My sad blue eyes hold decades of pain, from my plenty of failed relationships, including some of my family....

Hearing my computer beep, I return to my desk.

Jack is calling in. I check my messages real quickly, and I see that he sent me a quick text a minute ago.

Jacksepticsauce: hey imma call, wanna do cameras?

I bite my lip in thought. As the call ends because I didn't answer, I type back.

Yourfavoritefangirl: Sure. Call me again.

He rings in a second time and I answer, clicking the video button.

I see my video show up before his, but I'm flabbergasted all the same at his stunning appearance.

His hair looks like a green wave on his head. His baby blue eyes hide little more pain than I hide in my own, but they are just as friendly. I hope I come off as friendly as he is.

We accidentally speak in unison, "Wow."

I blush as he chuckles. I cover my smile and his face softens.

"You don't have to hide that pretty smile," he tells me, sweetly.

I raise a curious eyebrow, "How do you know that it's pretty?"

His eyes tug at my playful side, "We won't know until you smile."

I look into my lap as the corners of my lips turn up into a smile.

"C'mon," I hear Jack's voice reach me with its usual sweet sound, "look up at me. Please?"

Slowly, I muster up the courage to raise my head and gaze into those dreamy blue eyes of his. I instantly feel better and the smile comes more naturally.

"There's that adorable smile," he murmurs.

I start laughing, "Oh, stop!"

"Now, tell me about yourself."

"Well," I don't exactly know where to start.... "I'm 18 and I've lived in the same small town all my life. My parents are always away, either on a business trip or handling some form of business, and I miss them a lot." I put a hunk of emotion in that last part.

Jack's smile lessens, "Where do your parents work?"

I shrug, "Some government office. I'm not sure which one...."

"That's okay," his smile returns, "What about your job? Do you have one?"

I shake my head, my side braid almost whapping me in the face, "I've been looking for one for some time, but I haven't had much luck."

"Why not?"

"I don't know," my voice reaches near a whimper, "Either they don't like me or they don't like my credentials...."

"It's probably your credentials, because I can't see why anyone smart would turn you away for your pretty face."

I lower my head to hide my rosy cheeks. He tsk tsks.

"Raise your head," he tells me, "You're too pretty to hide that smile from me."

He's right, I tell myself, and he's too nice. I can't help it. I raise my head and show him the brightest smile that I can manage. This makes him smile too.

"See?" He chuckles, "That wasn't so hard, now was it?"

I shake my head as my smile widens.

For the rest of the hour, we talk about everything. We joke about life and tease about past relationships and then.....

Silence.

He smiles at me, then looks down. His smile falls to the floor and shatters into a million pieces. The sadness in his eyes grows and grows until I can't tell if he's going to cry or not.

"Jack? Are you okay?"

He looks up, like he'd been interrupted from a trance, and his smile returns.

"Nothing," his eyes linger back over to the spot where he was been staring, "just thinking about old memories...."

I suck in a nervous breath and let it out, "Care to share?"

His eyes look up at me and the emotion in his eyes is unreadable.

"You know I'll always be here to talk, okay?" I offer.

His eyes glimmer with uncried tears, "Yeah, I kno-" His voice cracks, giving away his true feelings.

I really wish I could hug him right now.... If only there weren't about ten states and a whole ocean between us.

"How about I come visit?"

His eyes retain sadness but also show a glint of happiness added into the mix.

"You're serious?" He asks, gulping like it's the most important decision of our lives.

I nod, confidently, "Yes."

His sweet smile returns and it's bigger than ever.

"Okay," he accepts, "In a week? Is that enough time?"

I feel my smile returning, "That's perfect. See you then."

"See you then," he echoes.

I'm about to end the call when he speaks up real quick, "Oh, and, um..."

"Yeah?"

He hesitates, but I can tell he's sure of what he wants to say.

"I love you."

I'm so stunned by the sweet words that I feel my eyes well up with uncried tears as well.

"I love you too," I say it back with the words slicked with pure love.

"See you in a week," Jack says and, before I can reply, he ends the call.

So, this is a chapter based on real events that happened between someone I love and myself.... So, ti was true to heart... well, sorta. I mean, I wish I could go see him... He doesn't live AS far away, but.... I miss him a lot when he's not in a video call with me.

ANYway, I'm SO SO SO sorry that I haven't updated in SO long. A lot has happened, but I'm not dead, people! I'm completely alive and okay and still breathing!

So. With that note, I will have more chapters up soon. I'm actually on Spring Break for the next two weeks, so expect many updates to make up for the ones I've missed.

If you have any ideas, please shoot them my way because.... I'm running out. They can be anything. I will, of course, credit the idea....ee? Lol, I don't know.

Welp, see you guys in the next chapter.
