Sometimes we believe

What we can think we see

From where were standing on our own two feet

Oh we only see what we know

Kara wiped the tears on her eyes. She had been crying since the first attendee shared her story about her separation with her husband because of another woman and how it affected her life and her kids. She felt as if she experienced the same thing even if she only broke up with a short time boyfriend. She felt as if the effect it brought her was of equal impact.

She started describing how she was feeling. Like what he sees, Kara has been really trying her best to appear calm and composed but when she's alone and whenever she sees him, all the defenses that she built around her crashes down one by one. She'd been putting up a happy and strong front when all she wanted to do was cry and mourn over her loss.

"Since that day, I felt like I lost confidence in myself. That I'm the ugliest person in the world and that no one can love me," she shared. "I lost interest in sustaining who I am because of what happened. I stopped believing in myself and I lowered myself to the point that I begged him to go back to me even if he rejected me on those times that I did it."

"You know what Kara, that's all bullshit," Chad suddenly interrupted her when she was about to speak, mad. "You don't have him right now because you do NOT deserve someone like him."

They were all surprised with what he said. He himself was surprised why he said something as blunt as that but he couldn't stand hearing someone thinking low of herself.

"If someone leaves you, it's just the end of the relationship. It's NOT the end of life."

Kara forced a smile and gave him a deadly stare.

"What, you're just going to look at me like that and not say anything?" he confronted her. "You're weak."

"Who on earth told you that I'm weak, huh?! You barely know me Mister Lewis!" she stood up and faced him, pointed her fingers on him. "You, you are just like him. You all just play and do not consider what a woman like me might be feeling! You are all inconsiderate selfish men who only want to have their penis penetrate a woman's vagina!"

Chad was surprised. Everyone was looking at her and Kara suddenly realized what she just said. Chad laughed.

"I'm sorry," she said and in an attempt to save her face, she immediately went out of the room and Chad followed.

"That's your fault! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT?!" she said angrily and headed down the stairs.

"I wasn't the one who said something... Censored," he laughed.

"I know it was me, you fool! But that was because you pushed me to be so mad so I will speak up!"

"Because what you said right there are all plain stupid," he pointed out. "You lived for more than twenty years without him and you can surely survive without him after a few months. All of those things you are thinking are just all in your head. You do not have to stop living because some dumb ass left you for another dumb ass!"

"It wasn't you who was in my situation! You do not have an idea how much it hurt me when he left me. Do not compare me to you because I do not play around like you do!"

"Why are you this brave when dealing with me and can't do the same when it comes to what you are going thru? He was hurting you upfront and you allow him to!" he told her. They were attracting other people's attention but he didn't care.
