Say something I'm giving up on you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
Anywhere I would've followed you
Say something I'm giving up on you

"Final answer, aalis na o hindi?"
Chad smiled with Raffy's question. Instead of answering, he rather showed her his tickets. It was like him telling her that he would go because he needs to and he already has the ticket. If he wants it, it would be a different story.
"Is she coming?" Cass asked him. They were already at the airport and Chad's flight was three hours away. Raffy and Cali went with them.
"She who?"
"Don't pretend that you do not know what I am saying," Cass answered. "No idea?"
He smirked. "She's not."
"Bakit? Where is she? Doesn't she know you're leaving?" Raffy asked him. Chad was carrying Cali.
"She knows," he answered, trying to make it sound like it didn't mean anything. He has been thinking of her since yesterday, a part of him is secretly hoping that she would appear from nowhere to see him off, make it up with him, admit that she was wrong, and they will try a long distance relationship.
But she is nowhere to be seen.
"Naghahanap. May naghihintay," Cass teased him.
Chad laughed. "No. We fairly said our goodbyes beforehand and her family might be home so... There."
"I know you brother. I know you are disappointed," Cass smiled knowingly. "But if you choose to pretend that you are not, I understand."
"I'll see you soon ladies," he rather answered then turned to Cali. "Cali, look after your mom okay? Call me always and tell me how our little boy is doing."
"Little girl, Uncle Chad," the boy corrected him.
"Okay. Little girl then," he agreed and kissed him goodbye. "Be a good boy."
Chad kissed the two ladies goodbye and before heading inside the airport, he gave one quick glance around the area. He was trying to hold on to anything that would mean she is around but there wasn't anything left.
Give me a reason to stay or at least go back, Kara. I want to see you. I need to see you then I know I mean something to you and I would go back.
He stood looking somewhere else for a while but even her shadow was nowhere to be seen.
"Gotta go now."

Chad had two stopovers before he arrived at the airport where he would be getting his car to drive back to his ranch.
He is tired after the long flight and he was not really able to get a lot of rest while he was up. It was past five on the afternoon when he got out of the airport and his ranch was a two hour drive from there.
No one was home when he arrived. The place was dark and lonely. It was a Wednesday and at this time of the week, Jaida would be on her parents' home with her son.
After slamming shut the door of his room, he lied down on his bed and covered his eyes with his arms. He badly wanted to cry and punch anything or anyone he will see.
Why does he need to be set up on some crazy, tangled love affair whenever he is in Manila? And why does he always end up leaving the country with a broken heart and a tattered soul?
