I see skies of blue,
And clouds of white.
The bright blessed day,
The dark sacred night.

He took me home.
We have been married for ten months now and I finally got my visa a few days ago. He immediately booked his flight and picked me up so we can go home together.
I know I wouldn't have any actual job to do for a while and so I most of the time prefer going with Chad on the fields and we plant cotton together.
At times, I would be teaching Bill about his class and I must admit that he is a fast learner. Stewart still licks my feet at Chad's command. Jaida is dating a guy she met though Chad disapproved of it.
I remembered Chad telling me about a surprise once I'm home and he didn't fail to do so. The house where he lived - or where we will live - has been repainted and remodeled, adding another room for our future son. No, we do not have a baby yet but we will in the future. He got some new equipment and items at home, all because of me. He was scared that I will get bored and just leave him, divorce him.
When I got inside our room, I saw our wedding picture hanging on the wall and all the happy memories came flashing to my head.
I was wearing a combination of white and black wedding gown while holding red roses. It was a tube type of wedding gown that I have designed myself. My now husband looked dashing as always wearing his black tuxedo. His brother was his bestman. Bettina was my bridesmaid. Cali and Bill became our ring bearer and escort to our flower girl. Raffy and Ethan were present, along with his basketball team.
His whole family was present and I didn't expect his mother to be the most accomodating mother of all. His father on the other hand is warm and simple even if I know that he's a prominent man. When we first met, we were talking as if we have known each other all our life. At least, it eliminated my fear of in-laws.
It was a great party that followed after the ceremony where Chad and I both cried. During the reception, we shared to everyone how we met and all that happened between us. A lot of them do not have an idea what we went thru.
After that, we headed to El Nido again for our honeymoon. We checked in on the same hotel and same room. We started with a game before we fell asleep.
Yes, he waited for that night for the longest time but we both fell asleep on our first night as Mr. and Mrs. Lewis.
But it's always better late than never. We did not go out of the room the whole day when we woke up.
Two days later, he made us fly all the way to Malta so he can finally see the Popeye Town he was dying to see. That week ended with a rollerskating lesson while seeing the Eiffel Tower.
I remembered laughing on the streets with him while we recounted our conversation on the bookstore where we first argued.
And who would forget that I ate his cupcakes?
Today is my seventh day in my new home. I woke up early and instead of having him prepare breakfast, I did it for him. I'm not an expert or anything but Raffy managed to drop by before I left to teach me how to do the basic - frying.
And so my husband and I will have fried eggs, fried bacon, and fried hotdogs this morning. I went back to bed and looked at my guy who was peacefully sleeping. He would be surprised that he woke up late.
When I looked at him, I realized that my husband never lost vitality like how he was described to me by his friends. He became somehow tan because of the job that he does but trust me, it looks better when he doesn't have his shirt on.
I felt his hand push me back to bed and he further cuddled me closer and tighter. He has a smile on his face even if his eyes were still closed. I know I would never get tired of this routine.
I'm not lucky for I am blessed.
It is by fate that we met and by fate, we will never part nor get tired of each other. It's not written on some cookie fortune. It is written by us.
"I love you," he said sleepily.
I smiled. "I love you too," I said and planted a kiss on his forehead.
"One line? Or two lines?" he asked me.
"Still one," I told him. We were talking about over the counter pregnancy test kit.
He grunted but kept a playful smile on his face. "Let me work on it now."
That's how it is on the Lewis residence every morning.
