Tell me how to get back to

Back to summer paradise with you

And I'll be there in a heartbeat

I'll be there in a heartbeat

-Summer Paradise, Simple Plan

Kara was about to sleep when her phone rang and flashed Chad's name on the screen. She immediately answered it.

"Missed me that much?" she told him.

"Yes I do miss you that much but I just need you to get out of your room for a bit. I got something delivered for you that you would need to pick up personally."

"Can that wait for tomorrow?" she already jumped on her bed. When she went inside their room, she saw her roommate getting ready for bed. She did not ask her any questions and just closed her eyes.

"I'm afraid it can't," he told her.

"Okay. I'll go down in a bit," she said and wore her slippers. She took her jacket with her. Chad was still on the phone. She slowly and quietly opened the door and was surprised when she found him standing outside their room, waiting for her. "Chad! Why are you still here? I thought you'll go home now?"

"I didn't say I will," he said, smiling mischievously.

"Okay, I must admit you got some very active left side of the brain because you always come up with some crazy ideas. What do we have today?" she laughed.

"I got this," he said and showed her hotel keys. "Room 527. Just beside Room 526."

"You checked in?" Kara asked him, surprised. "Beside our room?"

He nodded in agreement. "Yes, baby. I need to spend a lot of time with you."

"Are you sure that's okay? Who's gonna see after your farm?"

"Jaida volunteered to look after me," he said. "I told her I'll push her plan of the flower shop she wanted to have."

Kara laughed. "You bribed her!"

"No. She volunteered. She pushed me to be with you," he said. "And it makes sense babe. You'll be here for two weeks and I don't know when we'll see each other once you leave so I'd like to make the most of it."

"Until when will you stay here?"

"Until I know that you are staying there on Room 526," he answered.

Kara smiled and pinched both of his cheeks. "Gwapo mo masyado! Pasalamat ka mahal kita!" she laughed.

Chad took her hand and pulled her with him.

"Teka, teka! San tayo pupunta?"

"You'll sleep in my room," he answered casually.

"No. May roommate ako. I don't want her to think I'm abandoning her," she declined.

"Babe, you're not friends and you're not going to see each other when you go back. She let you go this weekend without asking too many details. Why fuss?"

Kara took a deep breath. "Okay. I'll agree but only with one condition. I don't want anything to happen between us if you know what I mean."

Chad nodded and kissed her forehead. "I know. I'm not pushing you to do it with me. We've slept together more than twice and I didn't do anything to you. You were the one who stole a kiss from me and I am fine even if you do it again," he kidded.

"I didn't kiss you," she lied about it again, shy to admit what she did.

"Okay. It's the sleeping, not moving man who did it to the woman who crawled out of her bed in the middle of the night. So, you want to move your things on our room or you're fine just sleeping there?"
